DJI FLIP DRONE REVIEW - THE GOOD AND BAD

Mmh Im not impressed about the new Flip. Mostly you have windy conditions and I think the flying experience will not be really good. Im waiting for the Mini5Pro😁thx for this review👍🏻

QUESTIONS:
Have you had the chance to fly the Flip in nighttime or low light conditions? If so, what is your opinion on photo and video quality in those conditions? When flown at night, how does the quality compare to the Mini 4 pro's nighttime video quality? They both have the same size sensor, so just wondering how the nighttime video quality is in comparison.

Why didn't they offer this as a standalone like the NEO , I already have an N3 controller and the RC2 controller.

I'm looking for something to follow me when mountain biking... that can launch without a controller. I had the Mavic Air several years ago, but as soon as a branch got in the way, it would stop dead. I also needed either the remote or phone to launch it.

Will the Flip follow me down trails, or is the lack of obstacle sensors going to cause it to end up lying on the ground? Are there any DJI drones that would be able to follow me down trails, through woods etc... that can launch at the touch of a button?
Maybe I'm looking for something that's a few years away still?!

I already have mini 4 pro and hover x1 and I am interested in flying without controller. so you suggest DJI flip or hover air pro max?

What is the range and max height, while flying manually on mobile? Still as restricted as it use to be with Neo?

Adding 360 degree obstacle avoidance would have made it worth considering compared to the Mini 4 Pro instead, it's an upgraded Neo.

Does the new propeller system actually do anything to help prevent crashes? I do a lot of roof inspections in the city for buildings are tightly fit together so if the new propeller system will help prevent your drone crashing into other buildings that would be amazing or is it just for show?

i just bought mine. should be in next week, i do like how you have the audio recording on the drone reminds me of the dji spark, and thats a feature i never understood why it was removed especially how well tech has been since the release of the hall of fame spark.
im also a small content creator from the truu gemini channel but my major question is when it comes to hiking, or paddle boarding and etc, is this like the neo dont fly over water?
another question which really sparked my interest with this drone, what would you recommend more when it comes compact use. the dji mini 4pro still or the flip? i love my mini 4 pro along with the air series but i want to lighten my load yet also be able to have good drone content when i start adding that into my videos. so what is your opinion stick with the mini 4 pro or give this a chance when i receive it?

one last question which ive never thought about until now. drones like the air 3s and everything over the 249g that is banned in countries would these below 249g drones be allowed??

If i have the better controller can I fly it wherever I wish. I'm old and not as mobile as I once was. Sometime I can't see all the cattle in the pasture because of trees and shrubs. I'd like to use the controller to fly along both sides and around these to find them. I believe I could do the with the .ini 4 Pro.

Flip aint worth it. Neo does better job. Those should be the comparison. Weight, price, size, time to manage settings... Neo wins it

Do you think that the Mini 4 Pro will benefit from the improved tracking that the Flip offers by means of a simple update? Or is the Flip's improved tracking hardware dependent?

I do hope it won't be long until it can be bought without an RC.

Hi, I enjoyed your review and wanted to ask some advice. I’m into off-road remote control racing and I’m interested to know if there is a drone that can automatically follow my RC car so that I can analyse my racing after a race? Any advice would be appreciated. The most cost effective option would be great 😊

Put that camera onto the Neo and it'd be a no-brainer. But until then, I'll stick with the Neo. Hear me, DJI?

How do you buy just the drone without controllers? I already have the control all I need is the drone and the charger with two extra batteries.

@DMProductions The Flip looks to be really cool!! The first thing I thought when I saw it for the first time was "it has spokes, just like a bicycle!!" And then you said here it reminds you of a unicycle. Couldn't have said it better!! I'm glad you mentioned the vlogger aspect of what the Flip's features include. Looks to be an interesting buy. Do you find the video better then of the hoverair pro max ?? I read that the pro max has a wider field of view, in that case i hope that dji makes a ultra wide angle lens like in the mini’s and air series :-)

Ypu flew it over water a lot it appears. Any problems?

J'aimerais voir cette grande casserole à double pales en mode manuel ...c'est pas quelques heures en simulateur qu'il faudrait mais plusieurs années au bas mot, pour moi le vol chaloupé du flip ( même sans aucun vent en intérieur ) fera de ce drone le laurel et hardy du fpv ...imaginez une boucle d'alimentation avec ça ou meme un flip justement ou un tonneau le tout avec une camera trois axe ( qui fait que meme le mini pro 4 ne sera jamais vraiment un fpv comme avata ) alors esperons que dji le rende compatible comme le neo avec les masques et la rc3fpv qu'on puisse rigoler encore davantage qu'on ne rigole déjà aujourd'hui avec un drone suiveur qui s'arrête à toutes les branches et qu'il faut aller rechercher en se montrant comme dans la video proposée ici et qui craint le brouillard et dont le RTH peut tourner à la catastrophe toujours à cause du capteur laser qui est moins aboutit pour l'instant que les capteurs d'images...autrement dit dji essaie de vous vendre un drone en version beta avec son care refresh etc...un conseil ....tant que vous y êtes faites de dji votre légataire universel

How fast would this be able to follow me in my motorcycle?

This is all great but why new batteries, new filters… why don’t they try to make it with the same batteries, chargers, filters… They are pushing potential customers away.

I know you cannot buy the DJI Flip separately yet, but when you can, as I already have the RC2, do you think it will be easy to switch between the flip and mini 4 pro please? Or would I have to buy another RC 2 just for the flip? I hope you can seamlessly switch between them.

You would think for q "better" drone they would add more AI tracking options. I have the neo and it does everything he's saying the flip does. The neo has FPV capabilities and the flip does not. Definitely not worth the extra cost for me to upgrade. Really disappointed I was hoping a better drone than the neo would have way more AI tracking options than what is standard on the neo. Better camera and longer battery life is awesome and why I started looking at the flip but I want more than that for the much higher price

I thought this was dumb at first, but after you explained it, it sounds sick. Like its not my kind of drone, I usually take my mini out to a beach or lake and get cinamatic shots of the coastline, but after hearing about its autonomy features, I love the idea of just having a drone you chuck in your bag just in case you need some quick drone shots. Like this sounds like the perfect drone for travelling.

like the drone i used for fun never a professional used but question a got illumination in this drone is good o back i dont think lm gonna fly on night time but is good to the drone got one

Would this be suitable for a holiday drone for example taking videos, pictures of scenery and to get some footage of the family mucking about on days out and kids playing etc? I am a beginner with some drone experience (have the potensic atom drone) so I do still want to be able to use this like a drone but still be able to use for capturing moments with family and friends. I'm pretty sure this will do the job but would like the opinions of experienced flyers please? Also would like to know if you can still attach the different filters that were once tested on one of drones on this channel??

I used neo standard without a remote for a week... now i'm thinking about upgrading ...
I'm not into social media or content creator...
I just need the drone for watching the world from a different angle...
With good range and better battery life...
So i'm stuck between dji mini 3 and dji flip...
So what do you suggest for me!!!
I'll watch it in my mobile only so the better quality of the flip's camera would give any advantage or mini 3 is value for money?
In india mini 3 battery plus combo is 800 dollars and flip with rc 2 combo is 942 dollars..
