Actually, the XPLR SW wheels I wanted to go for, are just so prone for damage due to width and another factor being tire choice. Going for 303 firecrest, just cause 1,1k on sale and broader tire choice.

I’ve been running these wheels on my MOG for a couple of months… the absolute business.

They look great but been trying to get hold of the reserves ( in uk) for last 3 months and still no luck. Think they will be the perfect wheels for my crux .

I’ve got 5 sets up reserves I use for racing, 40/44 x2, 42/49, 28s, and 52/63….all of them awesome, great lateral stiffness on 1000 watt burst, lifetime warranty, excellent customer service, they look understated and sharp…and compare my experience with wheels from Shimano, Mavic, Campy, DT SWiss, these handle cross winds fantastic.

If I was looking at massive gravel clearance, I'd probably trade my Aspero for a Stigmata – seeing how Keegan put 2.25 Aspen STs on his (and probably scuffs the frame) but they can apparently do 2.1s pretty comfortably

Has anyone tried Thunder Burts on a Specialized Crux? Do they fit?

It would be interesting to see some tests of "narrower" gravel tires. There will be a lot of us who have frames that won't take more then 45mm tires. Conti Terraspeeds 45mm for example. Are they really that much slower?

Also let's not forget most the wide rims plus 29er tyre mean they don't fit in a gravel frame, why DJ runs narrower road rims to fit his 29er tyres.

They are so fast I think that the bicycle rolling resistance guys are wrong with it rolling resistance because when I tested it they tested better then the peyotes and much faster then the Pirelli xc rc and close to the continental race kings bet with a lot more grip

Please test the TUFO Gravel Thundero Tires in 44c and 48c. They are fast and light!!! I have the Zipp 303 XPLR SW, the 44c thundero measures 46mm and the 48c measures 51mm on the XPLR Wheels.
