F16 would have a better weight to thrust ratio I would imagine, but the Jeff uses composites, and a powerful klimov RD33 engine from the MiG 29.

as my father work in PAF in overhauling departement of jf 17 working with chinese my father often told me that the there is no big diffeerence in performance of the f 16 and jf 17 but the precesian accuracy durability of f 16 is more than f 17 as 16 is american technology and america has more experience and more accuracy than than pak china comined because he is always messing with the counteries so he get a chance to make its aircraft more better according to circumstances and as american have couples of ware in 21 centuary helping to have more experience how the military technology works in the battle ground but we have to admire that the american technolgy has no competetion they are true genious and smart till today the chinese weapons are not better compare to usa in terms of efeciency quality precesion accuracy and durability but the promblem here is that the jet that the american lunch at 100 million dollars the china launch the same jet with same specs in half of the price or even less so so you get my point who is more.........

to be honest, the JF-17 is a very interesting plane! I would like to see that the German Airforce order some JF-17´s. It would fit maybe very good there

The fact that we are talking about the JF-17, shows Pakistan really is improving its Air Force at an alarming rate, its the same plane which allowed Pakistan to host an Indian guest in Feb 2019, and was offered tea. JF-17 is now being operated by Pakistan, Nigeria, Burma and Azerbhaijan, soon some central asian countries to place order as well. Well done Pakistan.
