Why do people stay with narcissists?

I stayed because I feared for my life. I'm a domestic violence and SA survivor when I finally could leave him.

It’s difficult leaving a narcissist, but of course, we set it up that way to make it as difficult as possible for you to leave us. As a self-aware diagnosed narcissist, I hope everyone knows they have to leave or face total annihilation.
