I'm happy I've just discovered your channel. I was in London last year in July and I absolutely loved the city. The architecture (narrow streets, terraced houses, bay windows), unique shops' decorations, flowers, squares, buses, ferries and food. And I met friendly and helpful people. I hope to come back one day.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьHeading there in April for the first time, so excited 😀
ОтветитьMy travel agent offered to book me a hop on hop off London bus tour in May and I was able to say I'd rather save the money and take the #11 bus instead
ОтветитьI’m staying in Britton, but missed one day on my reservation so have to do one “outside” day. I planned to stay in shoreditch (expensive) and currently have booked a day in Greenwich…is soho a better choice for one day of exploring? I’m not a typical tourist…and it’s not my first time to London
ОтветитьWhat is your experience with London Theater Direct :)
I have considered ordering through there.
Thank you so much Jess for your very informative blogs about London. You are amazing. keep up the good work. I am so excited now to visit London. Cant wait, it gives me more confidence to explore the City of London because of your straight forward tips. You are a blessing indeed Jess.
ОтветитьWhere we can buy the tickets for the mousetrap
Ответитьim from london but i thought the beetles were from liverpool
Ответитьfyi - If you don't feel like paying the high entry fee for the meridian line you can follow the fence around and the line continues and there's a better sign than the one inside!
ОтветитьI wanted to know if The mousetrap play by Agatha Christie runs during Christmas? Anyone has any idea ?
ОтветитьGo to all the food markets you can find. My favourites include Spitalfields, Mayfair, Vauxhall and seven dials
ОтветитьDo some videos about “chori bazar” THE THIEFS MARKET” known as British museum 😅
ОтветитьAMAZING ;)
ОтветитьThanks. nicely done presentation..just bought 2 tickets for mousetrap!
ОтветитьYou can do the second one in lots of places. All around the globe.
ОтветитьDon't forget that the Beatles members all were born and bred in Liverpool, and the Gallagher's were born and bred in Manchester.
ОтветитьI learned the hard way in Dublin that when the bus is coming you basically have to flag it down. I saw you put your arm out , so do you have to wave a city bus down also?
ОтветитьI love what you do and helping people. Could you please make a video or even suggest a romantic tour for couples like niche things or experiences . Thanks.
ОтветитьIs there some day or week pass?
ОтветитьI visited London in 1981.when I was in grade 2.beautiful is London as you are .keep it up
ОтветитьThe Beatles are from London?
ОтветитьI’m not the type of person who views these types of videos, but since I’m visiting in the middle of July, I have found this channel to be extremely helpful in planning my trip. I’m not sure how me and my wife will fair with all the attractions, but I’m sure we’ll be fine.
ОтветитьWe LOVE Central London! My wife lived in Marylebone and I lived in Barking. We met in Belgravia 36 years ago. We're planning to move back right now. Thank you so much for putting this on. You have don well!
ОтветитьThere are bus route changes now route 11 Stops at Waterloo. I would recommend route 26 From Victoria instead.
ОтветитьFun fact, Canada also has red (and a couple pink) double decker buses. They're just an older style, and used mostly for tours instead of public transportation.
ОтветитьNewsflash: Londoners hate being packed into a hot and sweaty double decker bus.
ОтветитьYehitisgreat.notingmountainisms i
ОтветитьI am going to London in October. I"'m staying in Paddington for 2 days. I just booked a hotel with no windows in Paddington and I could have gotten a better location in London for much cheaper than I paid for
ОтветитьThe Mousetrap is coming to NY
ОтветитьIn Melbourne I catch the Skybus to the airport
ОтветитьAwesome videos as usual, I am trying to do the same 💯
ОтветитьI wholeheartedly agree about the Houses of Parliament tour. It’s one of the best things I’ve done on any of my trips to London. If you can get in to see a debate in the Commons, those can be fun to watch too.
ОтветитьHeddon Street W1 was on David Bowie LP cover 'Ziggy Stardust'. Jimi Hendrix flat opened to public next to Handel flat at 23/25 Brook St. Nice video. Many films made in London too. Talking of buses, Routemasters and RT types were everywhere when I was a child, they were much nicer. Can be seen in London Transport museum.
ОтветитьBus 24 also shows some great London. Starts down at Pimlico and ends at Hampstead Heath after going through central London and also Camden Lock as well.
ОтветитьI’m going to London for the first time in early May, and I’ve been binge-watching videos on your
channel! Thank you for your informative videos on London! 🫶🏻
I m Indian girl and i want to come 😊in London but i have born in India so it will be late to come there. it's my life i will go to London as soon as possible ❤
ОтветитьLast november, my wife and I we visiting St Paul's cathedral for the morning eucharist, then we heading to the tower of London for a tour there. We thought about getting a taxi or uber, but I really wanted to take an icon double-decker bus, ( we're both from Australia, btw), but most are the modern kind and look like a tourist coach. Just as we were figuring out what to do, a 1960's bus turned up complete with a Cockney conducter wearing a peaked cap. It made my day 😊
ОтветитьAt the end of your video, where are you? The background looks very nice.
ОтветитьI lived in London from the mid 90s to mid noughties. Watching this makes me nostalgic and want to move back. But the cost of housing there (and cost of living in general), and the expensive, unreliable public transport.. ugh:(
ОтветитьLondon often gets a bad press which as a Londoner I generally don't give a stuff about but (and it's a big but) your videos are just great and show our wonderful city in such a great light! More power to your elbow.
ОтветитьIt's always worth mentioning that the Abbey Road recording studios are nowhere near the Abbey Road DLR station in West Ham. Fortunately there is an information board at the DLR station showing lost tourists how to find the zebra crossing, but it's seven miles away. The tube stop you're looking for, Beatles fans, is St John's Wood.
ОтветитьThank you for including the Opera tidbit! I really want to see one there and one in several other Opera rich cities (I.e. Vienna, La Scala).
ОтветитьYou actually have to go inside the building to be at the actual prime Meridian. And I don’t know if just anyone can go in that part of the building.
ОтветитьLondon is such a special city, unless you live or have to go there routinely.
ОтветитьHi Jess can u tell me what is the best way to get to grenwich to see the line of west and east ? thanks What is the closest tube station? Thanks
ОтветитьAnother great London video. Discount Theatre Tickets, Day Seats, and Friday Rush at the Opera are all good—but if you want to see a particular play, don't hesitate to pony up the money for tickets. You won't be disappointed. I visit London every year to do the West End.
ОтветитьI work in London, my favourite thing is to get the train back home everyday, it's not what it used to be.
ОтветитьI love United kingdom and i want a British passport for my self as well .
