Met Billy when I was a boy in Bangers Jeans/Denim shop in Glasgae Argyle street. We used to wear same brand of jeans. Great Guy!!!

I LOVE BILLY!! We share a birthday ( he’s 9yrs. older) AND my family is from Edinburgh and Glasgow. I’m a MacGregor. I wish I could go back to Edinburgh and live there permanently. The Scots are SO warm and friendly.❤

Brilliant interview, and here in 2025 I think a very prescient question by Parky was about the ‘dumbing down’ of media. I fear we didn’t come out well in that regard.

My God!! Judy Dench is an incredible actress! I don’t know how else to say it. There are really very good actors and then there are Actors who go past being the character and are the character. I think Brad Pitt is like that, too.
Then there are comedians who are very good and the ones who go beyond and are great - only to acknowledge a very few - Billy Connelly, Richard Pryor, Eddie Izzard, Robin Williams, George Carlin, Gracie Allen & George Burns, the Marx Brothers, Andy Kaufman, Sid Caesar and Imogene Coca, Russell Howard, Dylan Moran. . . 🤣🌷🌱

My husband died with alzheimers and also had strokes. As awful as it was, I still find Billy making jokes about it REALLY funny and if my husband is watching in heaven he'll be in tears of laughter too!

What an exquisite pairing of guests. So sad there is nothing like this level of talk show host around now, just some bloke ( because it usually is) interupting good banter and storytelling with banal questions. A good interviewer keeps their gob shut and lets the guess be the focus of the show.
