Will You Ever Do a Review on The Brand Nu-x I just Bought the Nu-x Dm8 to Replace my Alesis Crimson SE which I Have for Sale on Mercari For $799 id like to see a Review I work at a Music shop so this was ordered through the Company Cherub . NU-X makes 3 different kits that are in Price Points of Alesis But The Dm8 Comes with a High Hat Stand Remo Heads ( Mesh) and a Decent Module with Faders it sells for $1399

I bought a kpx kit to play around a mates house cheap and cheerful like , I gotta say it was the crappiest set I’ve ever owned I’d sold it within a week it was pretty awful even for cheap lol

They need to sell these without the module cheap so you can get started and buy a decent module of your choice separate

It doesn't matter if you add more cymbals or drums or even the quality sound , the thing is how you play the drums, skill and technique is the secret, enjoy while drumming and have fun

Hey man, I love your videos. Do you have a recommendation for vdrum headphones? Having a lot of trouble finding good information and ones that work. I have a quiet studio in my house with bass and drums and my electronic drum kit running through my computer and we all have headphones (guitar, bass, drums). The Beyerdynamic DT770 PROs 32Ohm have been a huge disappointment. I would really appreciate your recommendation. I bet that would be a great video! Thanks from NJ.

Td-1dmx is ridiculous, why the hell you would add so much money on those, like, drum rack and pads instead of actually upgrading the module.

I have a vad 503 set and a td1kv with a kd10 kick pad.I like very much the rack it is something that roland will never make it again.I dont like the regular racks for a compact set.Also if you are using a vst programm from a computer you dont care about the module.

The sounds are great but no editing options is a dealbreaker for me.

One of the upgrades of TD-2 is it's compatible with the VH-10 and VH-11 and has a dedicated settings for it.

Nice video - tks. Do you know if a TD30 module work with TD1/2/7 series as I need a smaller kit for gigs as TD 30kv to cumbersome to pack up ? TD 30 module would bring more sounds and control but Pads from lesser kits might not work? Tks

The sounds on the TD - 02 are better, I've got a TD - 1 and the sounds are terrible - no muffled kits all just "dong" type toms which have waaaaay to much ring. I even rigged up my TD - 11 module to it but the pads just don't feel good. The sensitivity area seems to be very small maybe I'm being fussy after using mesh heads.
I'm selling it.
I actually like the rack, except you can't position the floor tom anywhere where it feels good. The good is that you can literally pick it up with one hand and go to a band prac.

The only thing i dont like about the TD01 and TD02 is that you can't edit your own custom kits and there is no EQ, that is vey very dissapointing from a very well known Brand such as Roland that is why i will rather go for yamaha

Would you recommend the TD4KPX since it has the kick drum tower?

I had the td1 and if you're a discerning drummer you'll hate it. You cannot adjust the decay and all the toms ring forever. The td2 has some very usable sounds on it. BIG game changer. Chalk and cheese.

Could you just add a kickdrum tower/pad from another kit to this one?

The new Alesis Nitro Max looks better - same price.

Great video! Really appreciate the in depth analysis between the TD-01 vs TD-02. I actually bought the TD-02 series recently and I really appreciate the refresh. As an entry level drummer this kit is perfect in terms of price point and ease of use. I bought the BOSS Bluetooth adapter used and it is absolutely worth it! Being able to play along with songs is awesome! To me, this kit is perfect for beginners. The TD-07 series seems to be for intermediate to advance players. The TD-02 won't overwhelm a drummer who is still learning. Just plug and play. Simple and Fun!

I think the TD-02 has fewer sounds than the TD-1 on the ride. On the TD-1, you can hit rim for a low crash, then ping the ride, and a third bell sound if you 'ping' a little harder. Roland's way of giving more sounds out of a two-zone pad and I appreciated that on my TD-1. I need to try all of the kids, but on the couple I tried I couldn't get the bell sound no matter how hard I hit it. I'll take this down in a couple days if I find I'm mistaken but I thought it was a sneaky feature to scrub, but for $100 less you need to cut corners somewhere. But the Ride feels less fun to play as a result so currently I actually run my TD-1 module with cables everywhere JUST to have a decent ride. Since the kit sounds are all different, I have to just pick the one I like that clashes the least with the TD-02 kits. I actually put two extra cymbals, an extra tom and use the TD-1's kick pedal as a double bass (with a cheap splitter cable). It's like an Ikea-hacked furniture Roland kit now

I think the retail pricing on these models is insane! No way it's worth that much, comparing it with its competitors! If you can find a used unit for a fraction of what the retail price is, then yes, it's a good buy! It's a starter kit, geared towards those entering the world of drumming.

The drum rack on the td1 didn’t fold up so it was hard to call it portable at least in my view.
The td02k would be my choice as the rack folds up.

In summary: get a TD-07DMK instead.
