With the spray paint for anyone doing the same, you can buy thinner tapes that are better for smaller details. Also use a top clear coat or two to protect the finish. If you want some extra shine, use a chromatic or anodised paint. I paint props for a living and a top coat will look much better

There is coating spray which is used after yoy spray paint anything. The coating spray makes the paint not wear off. You didn't use those
