ОтветитьDefinitely an appreciation of the work done by the anonymous quilter. You're giving new life to something with a high likelihood to be abandoned.
Ответить❤❤❤whowww this is so gorgeous. I like to make this shirt. How can I get hold of this pattern please. Thank you so much for sharing 😊
ОтветитьI think the shirt patterns are too boxy. They do not fit you properly
ОтветитьI need to find your thruft shops. There are never any decent quilts or even sheets near me.
ОтветитьThat was a awesome statement, about giving old clothes new purpose.
ОтветитьHOW DO YOU DO T-SHIRT COLLARS PLEASE!!!!!
ОтветитьWow ❤❤❤
ОтветитьHonestly, if this was my work I would love it if someone found use for it instead of rotting away in a box.
ОтветитьYou Are so talented!!!!!!
ОтветитьI just wish it was a long sleeve! beautiful craftmanship
ОтветитьIt's beautiful just one thing. . you should make it longer by measuring...armpit down to your hip. Remember measure twice. Cut once
ОтветитьBeautiful🤍
Ответитьthis gives off Bode vibes! very cool :)
ОтветитьLovely!!
Ответитьi really like this alot. it reminds me of that white and pink floral top Lana Turner wore in the movie Bachelor in Paradise from 1961.
ОтветитьDepends on the quilt
ОтветитьI agree with you 100% plus 👍🏻❤️I do it all the time
ОтветитьBeautifully said brother ❤
ОтветитьOh my gosh, that quilt would have sold on ebay for probably $300. I appreciate upcycling but this was painful and hurt my heart to watch.
ОтветитьHistorically, quilts have very much been about using up materials, reusing treasured pieces that are faling apart, using things that are fine but dated. Your creative reuse isn't a bad thing. The item was donated; it had had its time as a quilt and was ready for another adventure.
ОтветитьGorgeous!
ОтветитьI think quilts are like much like any other archeological artifact or historical artifact. Sometimes you have one that is made with some special story, meaning, and context behind it but largely quilts were made in large quantities because they were (and to an extent are) the thing to do. They are kind of the nails of the cloth and blanket world, sure each had a story but the context is a lot of times missing from it being traded or discarded. From what I have gathered you are not getting family quilts overall that are important to a community or any historical quilts. A lot of these seem to be ones that are older that are still useable for clothing but might be a bit more worn for blanket usage (unless they had meaning behind them). Reusing materials has been a practice for a long time and it is how we have traced things like old log cabins. The fact that you document your progress also allows for the story to continue on which is important culturally. Sometimes we hold onto things as needing to be in one specific format to much it makes the world cluttered, what your doing brings new life and purpose to old things.
ОтветитьI think with your love of loved items that you are turning it into another dream. Hurrah for you and you do so good too.
ОтветитьI have a quilt someone mane me when I was a baby. I have no intention of cutting it up, but that's mainly because a) i prefer it as wall art, and b) I can't think of a way to remake it that will do the original pattern justice. it's so beautiful, I utterly adore it
ОтветитьI'll take a jacket made out of a quilt.
ОтветитьI'd rock that in a 3/4 length sleeve boatneck tunic. That quilt ia beautiful.
ОтветитьI would wear the hell out of that shirt!!!
ОтветитьYou remade it into something beautiful.
ОтветитьDude that came out sick!! It looks so good on you too. 🙏♥️🫶
ОтветитьLOVE it
ОтветитьThat is beautiful! Way to give beautiful old things a whole new life.
ОтветитьYou gave a dead quilt a whole new life!
ОтветитьGorgeous work!!!
ОтветитьI'm blown away by your sewing skills. I wish that was me 🥹♥️ I have to subscribe
ОтветитьWhat a fantastic idea
ОтветитьI absolutely love that you're doing this. It's so cool to see quilts out and about where they can be seen. It's also really cool to see a bigger variety in designs than just really plain shirts. You are doing amazing work
ОтветитьThat’s beautiful!
ОтветитьI love that
Ответить🤩💖
ОтветитьThis is a great fit 🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьBeautiful! And yes I would wear it. I bet the person who originally made it would be happy to see it being used❤
ОтветитьBEAUTIFUL!!! 😍
ОтветитьSo cute
ОтветитьLooks great
Ответить❤ gorgeous 😍
ОтветитьOne thing the boomers gave us. Their granny quilts for jackets
ОтветитьAs someone who spends a ton of time on things like blankets, I have to say that I would be so happy for someone to take something I made that another person discarded and turn it into something like you have made. Nice job!
ОтветитьI cop’ed some of homies pieces. It’s quality materials no doubt. His attention to details and patterns go crazy. You get what you pay for!
