I came across your video by accident, but considering the spiritual connection you made within the movie; I don't consider it be much of an accident. I think your perspective is fantastic. When you described the appearance and size of the monsters I immediately thought "Nephilim." Also known as Fallen Angels. I won't get into it too much but that's just what my thoughts went to immediately as soon as you made the connection to demons. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. I will watch the movie again with new eyes...(Pun Intended)

OK you're being an idiot. Nothing says they can't go up against doors. The alien in the pantry was one alien against a door, that had a table stacked against it. Obviously it's alone and has no backup or reinforcements. A smart force is going to have a hard time against a boarded door with humans against it. And in the basement, the door was boarded with a pick and Graham and Merrill were constantly against the door.

I saw this movie two days ago for the first time. I had already determined on my own a few years ago that the UFOs in real life are demons.

I like this idea. I always thought a straight-up Sci-Fi film from MNS was strange, but this theory also answers that question.

I've said for years that Aliens are just demons. And the Bible and human history backs this up. But anything that validates/venerates Christianity is...forbidden. They can't have people believing the truth.

As evil increases we may well start seeing more crop circles. In the end times many believe demons will directly manifest and influence society (could already be happening). Personally, I believe true believers will be removed before the 7 years of tribulation mentioned in the Bible.

The demon theory holds no water. There is clearly ufos in the sky. The movie even clarifies that they haven't left but have cloaked their ships . Plus it makes a lot of sense that they can't open doors. I won't elaborate, I had to think of why and was able to understand so you just do the same

My brain hurts when people say if they can travel through space why can’t they open doors and take on a planet full of water? For one they didn’t come for the water planet they came to harvest the humans and as for the doors why don’t you try opening a fully barricaded door

I love this film, I saw it when it came out and have watched it many times since. I am convinced that at least, your opinions have great merit, and cause to reevaluate the core premise of the film. Alternatively, you could equally say the film suggests that our believes in a superior power, holy water and demons come from past interactions with aliens beings.

As someone who is a Pentecostal Christian, and who has seen the spiritual realm, this movie has the most accurate look of demons I have ever seen. I do not fear because under Jesus I have authority and protection. I am so grateful for my savior.

They're not demons, theyre aliens. Shyamalan even said so. The movie kind of implies that demons from ancient times were in fact these same aliens . As far as them not opening doors or using technology, who knows? Their entire motives and thought process could be vastly different from our own. My personal theory is that they were trying to generate fear. That they somehow feed off of fear. They were never trying to get in the basement, but if they made it look like they were, it would raise graham's family fear factor

I remember when it first came out being so frustrated by the reviews that said it was a weak invasion movie. I never could understand how they thought that unless it was deliberately being dense.
The scene that dear to my heart is when they’re setting on my couch and Mel Gibson says there’s two types of people in the world….
Also, I think it’s important to not view. His movies as“reality”.
His movies are more along the lines of beautiful fables.

If the main character of a movie is a Priest that has lost his faith, it makes sense that the bad guys are demons! The problem is that people only associate crop circles with Aliens! It's like making a movie about an Astronaut fighting Aliens and everybody thinks they're demons, because of some "religious signs". Cognitive Dissonance has ruined a lot of good movies!

Demons by definition are aliens. Demons are fallen angels, and angels are not of Earth, but Heaven. "Alien" just means belonging to another and very different place, which demons certainly qualify as.

The demon theory for this movie just makes to much sense

It makes sense that the aliens are actually demons and Bo is an angel theory. In the beginning when Houdini gets stressed out by the demon/alien smell then he ends up attacking Bo. Demons are fallen angels, so they must give off a similar scent to animals. The dog started to associate that super natural scent with danger, which is why he attacked Bo.
