Thank you! I was sure there was something wrong. I am ripping a load of 50mm Beech and its just killing me. Jammed the blade up a ton of times. I worked a lot with re-saws and larger machines but now just have to one big table saw so learning to do everything there. Thanks for the tip - off to go buy a rip blade :-D. P.S. Happy to see you using a riving knife. Finally a normal American! ;-P
ОтветитьI like the multi cut method. But I flip the board and cut from both faces
Ответитьthat's why they call them ripping blades...
ОтветитьGreat video. Using the correct tools always makes the work better and easier.
ОтветитьSo, you say 24 teeth. Do you have a particular blade brand that you prefer as opposed to others? Great video, by the way. I like brevity plus value. That seems to be a very hard combination for most.
ОтветитьWhat would be the best option to cut this board in a circle without a table saw? I need to cut a 24" circle for a crazy project...
ОтветитьThis just earned you a new sub. Great video!
ОтветитьThanks your videos are always awesome. Is that a 3hp PCS or 1.75?
Ответитьgreat video, damn i hate the imperial system though.
ОтветитьLove the enthusiasm for the medium and the message. Mark and his videographer shine while they teach wood. No time wasted and I’m now interested in his company.
Ответитьthat LEFT HAND of yours makes me very nervous when I watch you cutting that wood for some reason. Why do you need that hand there like that?! S C A R Y...... I guess I have seen a blooded table saw before, maybe that's why. Push sticks, saw feeder.. never so close with your fingers, especially with this heavy lumber....
ОтветитьIf someone only has a band saw. What advice can you give for making tapered cuts on a 4x4?
ОтветитьAwesome info
Thanks
I usually hate instruction videos, because they are rambling, incomplete, and unclear. This one was short, precise as a clean dovetail joint, and completely to the point.
ОтветитьHow would you rip the board the other (long) way?
ОтветитьThanks. I appreciate your help.
ОтветитьThis video especially kills it from 45 seconds to 50. The lighting, flow, music, edits, cuts, graphics....Just those few seconds is a ton of work! Great job keep it up! I hit the like and sub!
ОтветитьNot Bad, I am use to cutting 12/4 white oak, and that is a challenge for most table saws no matter the blade type.
ОтветитьHow about the hp of your motor, how big is it.?
ОтветитьThank you so much.. learned something new..
ОтветитьI think I need one of these blades! My default dewalt table saw blade seems to have a lot of resistance on just 2" rips..
And could anyone tell me when would I need a higher tooth blade on a table saw? like 80 teeth.. Thanks!
Great video, thx for sharing! I was wondering if you have a video with tips for 'cross cutting' wood slab. I have an acacia wood table that I need to shorten. I searched your through your videos but you have many videos!
Could you possibly post a link for me if you have video on cross cutting.
Do we use the same method to cut the piece longways to form plank type timber?
Update: I gave it a go cutting from either side and both side using the same side up against the backing guide.
Short and sweet; Love it! Thanks for sharing.👍
ОтветитьGreat informative video thanks
ОтветитьWhat blade you have there? Ive bosch 22t rip blade which struggled to cut walnut. Which blade with what number of teeth is best for hardwood.
ОтветитьHi! Can I use a ripping blade on my epoxy resin and white oak table top? it's 1 5/8" thick. I've destroyed a couple of circular saw blades trying to square it up
Thanks!
Thanks for the tip.
ОтветитьGood info, but would be better without the background music
Ответитьthanks
Ответить12 quarters 🤣🤣🤣 Americans gotta complicate things. 😂
ОтветитьI have never understood the WHY behind the stupid fractional measures. Especially when you say 12/4 then immediately follow it with 3”. Just say 3”.
ОтветитьOh thank god I found your tutorial. The constellations lined up and I found a new carbon tipped ripping blade in my stash that I got at a garage sale.
Whew. Maybe now it won't be so nerve racking to cut thick lumber.
Your videos rule!
ОтветитьThanks for the info. Very helpful. I’m cutting down butcher block counter tops and making cutting boards. This will be a huge help
ОтветитьFor butcher block???
ОтветитьGood jazz music introduction
Ответитьcan i use a ryobi table saw to cut ashwood with the proper blade?
Ответитьvery good. thanks.
ОтветитьSigh, talking about inches and feet, when we, in the modern world, use centimeters. So much better than this imperial nonsense.
ОтветитьI'm going to rip and cross cut some NorCal Black Walnut (from my yard!) It's 2 7/8 thick and 6ft long.(20" wide) I bought a 10" Diablo 90t asfg grind with ultra thin kerf. I want to rip the 6ft length razor sharp at 45 degrees and make a fire place mantle. I want no chips etc. The important thing is the Edge, I don't care about the cut face having burns and such. Blade life means nothing to me, the cut is everything. Have I bitten off too much? I can use my new woodland mill to cut the slab down to some approved thickness but I would rather not do that.... I am a new at this game...help
ОтветитьCan we cut it with circular saw?
ОтветитьIs there a blade like this for a track saw?
ОтветитьI have a Dewalt 7480 table saw. Do you think that saw has enough power(with a brand new saw blade) to cut 12/4 hardwoods in 1 pass?
Ответить3 minutes for a tldr "Use a ripping blade" Is really not what I'm looking for in content.
ОтветитьHow could i cut a square in the middle of it?
ОтветитьWhat about cross cutting thick boards? Still use a ripping blade?
ОтветитьI’m not a woodworker but I’m not convinced the blade makes a difference unless one blade cuts more ‘efficiently’ - meaning, the blade converts more of the imparted energy from the blade into sound and kinetic energy of faster-flying wood chips, and less into heat.
Or…. if the ripping blade is lighter and allows for a faster speed and more kinetic energy.
I can’t imagine one blade being designed to cut less efficiently, though.
