Why do you pronounce it "zeenia"? You're the only person I've heard say it that way. Is it a regional usage or something?
ОтветитьGrowing Zinnia my garden I didn’t know you cut the off went the try out I ordered some stuff Kim but I didn’t know the code I know it was garden something but yes I am growing them zinnias Shelly ty for video kim
ОтветитьMust be a west coast thing.
ОтветитьThe hummingbirds love zinnias, too! It’s so fun to watch them visit every morning and evening right outside my kitchen window. Thanks for the tips in this video! This is my first year growing them and they’re kind of out of control lol.
ОтветитьOohhh nice looks good
ОтветитьLove my zinnias! My favorite thing is to save their seeds and share them with my friends.
ОтветитьOther than sunflowers zinnias are the only flowers that I have in my garden and I have so many different varieties and I have them planted all over my garden and along my fence line and I like to save the seeds so I get way more flowers the next time.
ОтветитьI'm love the zinnias. All the sizes are so pretty together and seperate. I'm going to try another round of Lilliput here in SE MI 6a. Frost date is oct 22 so gonna push my luck.
ОтветитьHi! Thank you so much for the informative and timely video. I bought your Zinnia seed collection and planted mid June. More and more are now coming out in blooms. It is such a beautiful and colorful flower. I have never grown them before. Thank you for letting us know how to get more blooms! They’re definitely a keeper and one to grow again and again!
ОтветитьZIN-nee-uh 😁 not ZEEN-yuh 🙄
ОтветитьI have zinnias in my garden, but the leaves have gotten spots all over them. Is there something I could do for that?
ОтветитьSo glad to hear there is still time to plant zinnias in zone 9b! Guess what I am doing tomorrow, LOL?!😀
ОтветитьAwesome ❤️ 🥰
ОтветитьMy son and I decided to try our hand at a veggie garden. We picked out some seeds and he picked out zinnias before we checked out. Veggie garden was cool but the best was his zinnias that exploded and still doing great! We are def getting more colors for next year. Ty for this vid
ОтветитьGreat💯💯💯
ОтветитьWow, the colors are amazing! Thanks for the tips on how to make zinnias produce more blooms! All the colors growing near each other makes it look like a little fairyland - so pretty it's hardly real! Thanks Kim!
ОтветитьWhy are my Zinnia leaves drying out?
ОтветитьZinni is one of the most prolific flowers in my garden. As you said, the colors, shapes and sizes are so exciting. I have beds full of them both in my back and side yards. Unfortunately I don’t have much of a front yard.
ОтветитьGreat video, the garden is beautiful! Can you do this with other flowers too?
ОтветитьShe can wiggle my stem anytime.
Ответитьlovely video
ОтветитьZinnias are one of my favorite flowers. I did not know about white sugar tip. Thank you Kim!
ОтветитьI love zinnias, but always have the problem of powdery mildew that is impossible to eliminate. It's so frustrating.
ОтветитьSo beautiful ji
ОтветитьThey are so beautiful, and fun to grow! This is the first year I have grown them and they look awesome! I have a lot of pink ones and the other day, this huge gigantic butterfly was flying around them... But then my dog walked past and she has a pink collar exactly the same pink as the zinnias... So that butterfly went after her collar...lol! My poor 70 lb pitbull was scared half to death by the butterfly and it was sooo funny watching that big powerful dog running like crazy with her tail tucked between her legs from a butterfly!!! Lol!!! I wish I could have gotten it on video!!!
ОтветитьLove your video and love the tips. I grew some last summer and spotted an American goldfinch. It’s the only time I’ve ever had a bird visit my zinnias.
ОтветитьCan I take off the bad leaves and if so, what’s the best way to ?
ОтветитьHow long does it take to produce another bloom after cutting? Needing for a baby shower & afraid to cut them and not have any flowers for the shower.
ОтветитьIf you cut zinnias to the ground with about 6 inches left, will they grow back?
ОтветитьCould you enable the subtitles for those of us who need it?
ОтветитьI was shocked how much the hummingbirds love a zennia one called zinderella lilac they are attracted to every day.
ОтветитьI've kept mine deadhead for more flowers in the past. This year, I just can't bring myself to clip the orginal blooms that have been thriving for two months.
ОтветитьJust a tip for those collecting seeds- they are arrow shaped, and 2 different sizes. The disk floret seeds are much smaller than the seeds from the ray florets, and once the flower head is bone dry, you can confirm they are ready for harvest by the very dark brown color of the seeds. I don't know the accuracy of it, but I've heard that the ray florets are more likely to produce hybrid seeds, and the disc florets are more likely to be true to type. Great selection. Thanks for sharing! I learned a bit too late about pruning and each plant only grew one flower for me. Next year 😊
ОтветитьI had zinnias for the first time in 2023 Summer and they were beautiful and very tall ! I kept seeds from them so i will make them bloom in many places of my garden for this summer🥰 I am in Canada, Québec, Mirabel in zone 5b
ОтветитьCan you save the seeds from the flowers you cut and bring in your house once they die and dry up?
ОтветитьI’m a new gardener and zinnias are my first flowers to bloom. They are beautiful. I can’t wait to see all of them bloom.
ОтветитьIf you grow several different types of zinnia together would the seed you save be true to the variety you are trying to save?
ОтветитьLook up the pronunciation of the flower I like the video but the pronunciation is incorrect and it just tries to be crazy lol
ОтветитьWould you pinch back the mini/dwarf varieties too? I just started some in containers outdoors
ОтветитьI have this babies in 110 degrees
ОтветитьDo you have a link for the plant food?
