Why Do False Churches Grow? -- Voddie Baucham

Because the bible is true, we do not need bother ourselves with preserving anything. God will do that:

Psalms 12:6-7 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

If we change the word of God to suit ourselves, when in reality it should be the word of God changing us to suit Him, we can lose the eternal life that was given for free.

I don't know about false churches are defined as but....
I can think of very successful large churches who are fundamental bible based and full of sinners! Don't misread that, we are all sinners!

I read Paul's letters to the churches and rebuking them, justifiably so, but at my church, I never see rebuking. I just see, love love love love, and spending $$$$$ on outreach projects that not exactly as basic needs in the world cry out for. Ergo building a multi-million expansion on campus that was not needed, but is 'nicer', but I digress.

My own mother and sister has called me bigot. They are my family by blood in the world. But do not have a part of the family I now have in Jesus Christ. I take pleasure that i suffer for his Glory. He is worthy, and more. God is good. Always.

So true! We must not forget the importance of Paul's letter to Timothy regarding the future state of things (2 Timothy 4). Ministering in these current times calls for wisdom and clarity regarding the itching ears of people.

yes, false churches grow because man is a sinner and doesn't want repentance ... WE KNOW ALL OF THAT ... but why don't we ever look at ourselves in this battle? why don't we ask ourselves why the mediating life and power of Christ in our own midst is barely on display ... it's not because He can't mediate and do great things in our midst ... it has to do with the way church is conducted and all of the things that ARE NOT PREACHED AND NOT SAID AND NOT DONE AND NOT FILL-IN-THE-BLANK

we now legitimize multi-millionaire pastors ... AND INVITE WOLVES INTO CHURCH AND ENCOURAGE FALSE TEACHERS AND FALSE CHURCH
we barely speak of the sufferings of the saints ... AND DO ALMOST NOTHING TO COMMEND OURSELVES TO EVERY MAN'S CONSCIENCE
there is almost no talk of visitation of orphans and widows ... AND A WATCHING WORLD SAYS "THERE'S NOTHING SPECIAL THERE" ... TRAGEDY: THEY ARE ACTUALLY RIGHT
there is no light in the eye or spring in the step in remembrance of the poor ... AND THE HEART OF GALATIANS 2 IS STRIPPED OUT OF THE CHURCH AND FORGOTTEN
we make it all about nicely manicured sunday services ... WHILE WE PUSH LOVE ONE ANOTHER INTO THE ABYSS
we crowd Paul's sufferings out of the preaching ... AND LEAVE EVERYONE WITH A FRACTURED UNDERSTANDING OF HIS WRITINGS
we treat the suffering church as nothing ... AND THEN GO AROUND PARROTING "WE HAVE AN AWESOME CHURCH" ... NO! YOU HAVE A PATHETIC STANDARD FOR AWESOME

The churches I notice now that do this. Elevation bethel hill song lcbc and countless others.

I'd rather stand with Christ against this world, than with the world against Christ.
