I don't like when Mercy acts speaking that local English, hard to understand what she was saying.

This situation happens a great deal in the uk, black women maintaining white men. The men are happy to use these black women and even give the black woman's money to white women.

By the way, Daniel is actually playing the role of a white man. Notice how he violently questions the darker skinned people, to show domination. When Daniel goes to jail, and when he apologise to the black lady, it is not shown so that a white person is not see been penalised by a black person.
