iPad Pro vs. iPad Air - Which Should You Buy in 2025?

I think the iPad Air would be a clear winner if it had an OLED screen.

Until people stop buying the overpriced iPad Pro and it's overpriced accessories Apple will never make a proper 2 in 1 MacBook. Big tablets just don't seem to be worth it.

Still using the M1 pro shitter. Gon' buy some lunar lake 2 in 1, maybe a Thinkpad. Fck apple.

Ipad Air M3 is more than enough for me. I Upgrade from 2020 ipad pro

I have a 2017 iPad Pro 12 inch and I can't find a significant reason to upgrade from it. Yes, the battery life is not the same, but it does pretty much everything I need in terms of content consumption and signing PDFs. If and when I do upgrade, I am going to choose differently, instead of choosing cellular which I never used, I will stick to WiFi, instead of 64 GB, I will choose 512 (although I have not had any issues with running out of space). I might have to choose the pencil since I sometimes sign PDF's but will choose the cheaper USB C pencil. One thing about iPads though, the last long and you keep them for a long time. When you read news reports about iPad sales declining, its not users switching to Android or a Surface Pro, its people just happy with what they have.

I’m still torn on which size to get as I already have a 14” MBP. I would definitely keep it in the keyboard as I need to “write” (type), but just don’t know. On one hand, I’d like the better typing experience on the fuller sized keyboard, but I also wanted to get an iPad so I can leave my bigger MacBook at home.

I had a 2018 iPad Pro last year that did not take any charges, and I brought it to a couple of device repair stores, including Asurion. One store said that it cost $100 for a 1-month turnaround time, and then weeks later, it texted that it cost an additional $800. The Asurion store diagnosed my tablet, took my $85, and then, a couple of months later, said that it's "irreparable". I gave those two stores a one-star Google review and wished there was a 0-star option. Hugely dissatisfied...

Waiting on a few more feature and/or hardware upgrades before I buy a new one. Just can’t seem to make it a valid purchase until I see the upgrades I want to see.

Oh! I’d go for the iPad Pro all day long Josh, no question whatsoever. I treated myself to a M4 iPad Pro 13” for my birthday in January and I’ve not looked back since. I 🖤 it! Ok, I spent nearly £2,000 on it (including the Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard). For me having an iPad Pro feels like having a better version of a laptop.

iPad Pro for the win, you just lose so much features from Pro to Air, then Air to standard, mini are just almost the same thing with different chips and size. It's probably worth it if you buy Pro in full price, but for Air and the rest, a second hand would be suffice.
Mind you the Air Magic Keyboard is probably going to be replaced by the Pro magic keyboard after Tim clear the backroom stock, they easily could do that like the 1st gen Magic Keyboard that shares with M1 iPad Air, if you're going all out for true iPad experience, the Pro and the accessories are probably going to last longer through generations. Plus, it's quite insane the worse iPad Air magic keyboard cost almost the same with the iPad pro magic keyboard, just $30 away.

I got upgrade to the Ipad AIR M3 from Ipad 10th gen coz i really like the features of Ipad Air M3 but the downside of the Air is still 60hz and the speaker are basically 2 only even its four speaker but i still love it coz its still smooth the way u browse in internet specifically in chrome and safari and i love the bright of M3 AIR ❤❤❤❤ i wish in the future APPLE MAKES THE IPAD AIR IN 120HZ 🤲🏻🤲🏻🤲🏻

I bought a pro last year and after using one for a while, I could never go back to the other iPads. The screen and chip are leagues better than the other models

At the beginning Apple was motivated by innovation first and profitability second, now is simply profitability first and innovation when necessary to keep the profitability.
Yes, they build quality hardware with software that works almost without fails. But that’s their branding and strongest points.
The iPad Air doesn’t have better features so the Pro have more features that differentiate him from the lower models, simply as that.
