One nation one election is convenient for ruling parties. It reduce the change if Government in both states and union. It favours ruling party to make single stroke efforts to save their seats. It shouldn't be! If you say evaluation and election are costing money, you don't deserve democracy. Costing money and interruption for government functioning, who the hell asking union ministers to come to state election campaigns? Why don't they put two laws to prevent incharge Union Ministers and prime minister make campaign in state assembly election and State ministers and Chief Ministers to make campaign in parliamentary election? Only idiots or supporting party members can make such excuses to abolish seperate elections for states and Union. Even the America keeping their state assembly elections and us Congressional elections seperate, for the benefit of people to choose right person for right place. Why we doing such lunatics thing to cripple our democracy?

मुझे लगता है की भारत जैसे देश में जहां राष्ट्रवाद और धार्मिक मुद्दों के सामने लगभग सारे मुद्दे गौण हो जाते हैं ऐसे में अगर एक राष्ट्र एक चुनाव लागू होता है तो काफी हद तक ये संभव है कि राष्ट्रीय मुद्दों के सामने क्षेत्रीय और स्थानीय मुद्दे पीछे छूट जाए तथा राष्ट्रवाद और धार्मिक मुद्दों के बल पर एक ही पार्टी राज्य और केंद्र दोनों जगह सरकार बना ले। ऐसी स्थिति देश में न सिर्फ संघवाद के लिए खतरनाक साबित होगी बल्कि इससे नागरिकों के अधिकारों में भी कमी आयेगी इसके अलावा इस व्यवस्था से नागरिकों के द्वारा अपने प्रतिनिधि को चुनने की क्षमता भी प्रभावित होगी।

ऐसे में मेरा मानना है कि इस समय जब देश की अधिकांश जनसंख्या राजनीतिक रूप से पूरी तरह शिक्षित नहीं है, इस परिस्थिति में एक राष्ट्र एक चुनाव जैसी व्यवस्था को लागू नहीं किया जाना चाहिए जब तक की एक आम नागरिक पूरी तरह से राजनीतिक रूप से जागरूक न हो जाए, नहीं तो हो सकता है कि भारत एक संघीय राज्यव्यवस्था से एकात्मक राज्यव्यवस्था में परिवर्तित हो जाए।
