Bakers Creek Heirlooms Seed Co. Tour

I wish we could buy Baker Creed seeds here in Australia! They have a variety of lemon squash that I really want and you can't find purple hull pea seeds here at all.

I used to live down the road from them. :) I order mine every year online. They are just fantastic people!

SO SO Wonderful,such a fantastic journey through history. Bless this man who choose to save our future,to live in our future while visiting the past. Sweet to know I may be eating the same flavored garden grown food that my GREAT GREAT GREATS were eating in their time. I must get a catalog as I am preparing my family for their self sustainability. It is so important to start out with the same pride of yeild our ancestors had when their crops survived them through-out the year.

We live 2 hours away and make the trip every year. Well worth the drive!

I just visited Baker Creek for the first time last month! They're great! I've had great success with germination rates with Baker Creek seeds. I like heirloom seeds because I can be thrifty and save seeds for the next year.

You won't have any issues with germination rates if you pick varieties that suit your local conditions, soil type and you actually follow the instructions.
I'd love to get some of your US varieties, but will have to check any import restrictions.

So glad to see this! I planned to visit Baker Creek but then the coronavirus came along and now we're just enjoying home time. Luckily, I had already ordered seeds. We are older and just starting a small garden to see how it goes. A few tomatoes, some beets, kale, and chard. Looking forward to see what grows. I'm not a very good gardener but we want to grow our food. Very excited so thanks for the tour.
