Jeroen, the Jodd Fair 2 has been re-branded a few months ago. Opens only Thursdays to Sundays now. A few stalls have closed too.😢

Oooh I thought that plot closing will be where they will build the Enclosed mixed development Jodd Fairs Building…. Not at the back of this current plot!
I’m still confused about that plot of land seeing Rama IX Tower googled is canceled and no mention of its revival yet….

I don't think the super tower will ever be built. The project was overly ambitious and now that the Coof is over and Thailand's economy hasn't been growing like before the Coof. Any chance of something that big happening again is quite a daydream. I think something else that is scaled down will be built there instead.

I think they should divide the stores into two types. The first type could be similar to the current setup, with about 500 small shops in individual sections. The second type should be more of a concept store, similar to a food truck setup, where you’d see hundreds of vehicles selling food and goods lined up together. This would give a vibe similar to the old-fashioned trunk sales from 20-30 years ago, which many people who remember those days would enjoy. It’s a style that suits today's times, blending classic nostalgia with a modern twist.

Rama 9 is becoming a new Downtown center of Bangkok ... but instead of a nice congenial space for people to relax and enjoy food in the open air we'll have yet another sky breaking glass and steel tower with marble floors, gleaming elevators and reception checkpoints. Isn't that special!!

I live near Ratchayothin where I find the 2 branches not far away from my place. BTW Ratchada has potential to be the new CBD of Bangkok.

I hope this gonna be a good replacement of the one at Rama 9. We went to Jodd Fairs DanNeramit beginning of this year and that one was so disappointing, lot of shops closed and so quiet at night.

A couple of years ago this plot was supposed to become "Bangkok midtown LABELS" ("nine-story, upscale shopping mall designed by A49") and the plot on the other side of the road was supposed to be "Bangkok midtown LIVES" with a connecting bridge between them. Should have opened in 2018. Guess this isn't planned any longer.

Went to Rama 9 Jodds few times and was disappointed each time. Either oily deep fried snacks or proper restaurants but too crowded along with tourists taking photos every where. Just my personal opinion.

Are there skyscrapers and large shopping malls in Amsterdam? just like Bangkok
