His argument is dumb. Indiana had the closest score and Tennessee was the biggest blowout. Obviously no on thinks Clemson deserved to be there but u guys set those rules b4 the season
ОтветитьGreat? Are you kidding me? This isn’t about anything but money? Next year it’ll be 16 teams next year. It’ll be 25 teams, blah blah blah.
ОтветитьFinebaum talking about frauds is kinda hilarious to me. I’m not sure he’s any longer known for good opinions but the trying to rile people up so they pay attention to him.
ОтветитьYou guys really delusional if you think the Ohio State fans were not out last night. I was at the game. That was a home field advantage. That was not even close to 50-50. We were out there.
ОтветитьFCS had 24 teams in their playoffs…not 16. They expanded from 16 to 24 teams in 2013.
ОтветитьIt seems like people just want a reason to gripe. To say that the BCS had it right to begin with is the funniest thing that I've heard all week.
ОтветитьTennessee lost to a bad arkansas team ..indiana had 1 loss to osu. Stfu
ОтветитьPaul we don’t care 🤷🏽 if they came 40,000 deep fr fr and 40,000 went home 9 hrs away 😢crying and u just hate all the time on OSU u country chump ha ha 😂 js!!
ОтветитьThe first round will ALWAYS have teams who get destroyed because 12 teams is too many.
ОтветитьIf we had last years format would it be
1.Oregon
2.Georgia
3.ND
But I have no idea who would be 4
Texas best win is Vandy
Indiana with no rank win
Ohio St didn’t make CC
Penn st no rank win
Boise? With its only lost to no 1
I have no idea
Volunteers were softer than Heupel's triple chin. Indiana played Ohio State tougher than the biggest fraud Tennessee.
ОтветитьSMU and Indiana don’t have great wins, but also didn’t have horrific losses to “middling teams”
ОтветитьPaul crying but Tennessee did something and still got dog walked. Indiana didn’t lose that bad to Ohio State and they lost 38-15
ОтветитьYou're right, Tennessee was 100% a fraud. They played worse than any first round team.
ОтветитьI’d like to see Paul invite Cignetti on his show, only Paul doesn’t have a pair enough to do that. He’d rather take shots from a distance and run away for the report.
ОтветитьSince 2014, ESPN has played college football fans for fools with this narrative of "SEC Dominance" as a reason to resist playoff expansion. But let’s be honest: the SEC got exposed in the very first year of the College Football Playoff. Imagine if we’d had an 8-team playoff back then—Alabama wouldn’t have racked up those three titles in the CFP era.
Take Tennessee, best win came against Alabama. ESPN analysts like Paul Finebaum, Kirk Herbstreet, and even Nick Saban argued that Alabama deserved a playoff spot last year. Tennessee got absolutely destroyed the Big Ten's third-best team. Now, ESPN analysts win try to claim that there aren’t 12 FBS teams capable of winning a national championship starts to validate all the years the wasted in the BCS to sell their narrative of the "SEC Dominance."
And let’s talk about Indiana. Their only loss was to Ohio State—38 to 15. Yet they were considered less deserving of a playoff appearance than Tennessee, who lost to Ohio State in the first round by a score of 42 to 17. How does that make sense?
This is where the hypocrisy lies. If we truly want to crown a national champion based on merit, we need to expand the playoff system. The current narrative just doesn’t hold water anymore. It’s time to recognize that SEC dominance is more myth than reality and give all deserving teams a fair shot at the title. Let’s push for change and make college football truly competitive!
ESPN knows what they’re doing. They own the SEC Network and have invested billions to prop up the SEC as the greatest conference in college football. They want to maintain that narrative, even if it means dragging out a flawed playoff system.
As we move into this new 12-team format, expect more competition, but don’t forget: it’s all about business for ESPN. They’ve created a landscape where they can still sell the idea that the SEC is unbeatable, even when it’s not true. The playoff will get more competitive over time, and that’s exactly what they’re trying to avoid until they’ve milked every last drop of their SEC hype.
Tennessee was more fraudulent than anyone
ОтветитьFinebaum a clahnnnn
ОтветитьNotre dame fans hearing paul say "Notre Dame is the Cathedral of College Football" are currently lifting their jaws off the floor
ОтветитьAnd Ohio State benched lots of stars in the 4th quarter
ОтветитьNo it’s not ok!!!! Why waste our time with these hideous schlackings
ОтветитьDude. There aren't 12 teams capable of winning the championship in College basketball either. That's irrelevant. So what..
ОтветитьYou’re boring me. It’ll never be enough
ОтветитьBased on the logic presented, doesn’t that mean March Madness should be reduced from 68 teams to eight? Let them play!
ОтветитьTop 4 RANKED teams on selection Sunday need to head straight to a New Years Bowl game, no business for Texas and Penn State/Notre Dame playing home games this weekend.
ОтветитьWho is your azzhole guest? Never heard of that q****.
ОтветитьThe CFP committee DID not come up with the rules! The 10 conference commissioners and Notre Dame's athletic director voted UNANIMOUSLY that the highest ranked conference championship winners got automatic bids and that the four highest ranked conference championship winners got ranked 1 through 4 and got automatic byes. The CFP ranked Boise State 9th. It's the conference commissioners that moved them up to 3rd. Same with Arizona State. The CFP committee didn't rank Arizona State 4th! Again, that move was based on the rules that the conference commissioners voted on over a year ago. Same with Clemson. The CFP committee ranked Clemson 16th! Not 12th! Again, dummy, the CONFERENCE COMMISSIONERS CAME UP WITH THIS PROCESS AND THESE RULES. IT HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CFP COMMITTEE!!!! How could Paul Finebaum not know this?! The CFP DID rank Alabama in the Top 12. They did! But guess what, because of the rules and guidelines voted on and UNANIMOUSLY passed by the 10 conference commissioners, they didn't get in because there had to be a space for Clemson and Arizona State bc they won their conferences.
ОтветитьFraud recognizing fraud. Finebum nothing but a paid SEC shill homer
Ответить"I think they're good because they're my alma mater..." Enough said. I'm out.
ОтветитьIt's all about money. More teams, more money. Fans are excited because there are more teams participating. Colleges, committees, organizations are excited because of...yep, you've guessed it. The more money they'll make!!!!
ОтветитьYou ESPN stooges are frauds. Alabama didn't score a TD against Ok. Ole Miss lost to 4-8 Kentucky. But yet y'all wanted them in? The Committee got it right. Gone are the days we reward teams that look better on paper
ОтветитьAs long as college football uses rankings to assist in determining a champion, it will be a joke.
ОтветитьFinebum is a fraud. He wants only SEC teams in the playoffs. He’s a tool.
ОтветитьYall are wrong about this it was a really down year and now it's going to get harder with players can just transfer when they want
ОтветитьThe 12 team playoff will pay off in a few years. The previous system had 3 teams regularly able to make playoffs so as a recruit you gotta get on those rosters if you want to get a championship. Those teams were able to stack 3 deep blue chips at every position due to them being the only real teams able to have a chance for a championship. Now with NIL and 12 teams, maybe instead of 3-6 teams able to have legit chance you get those blue chip players spread over 6-8 teams. A few years from now this could lead to a lot more excitement
ОтветитьAnother SEC spin by this self ascribed CFB expert. I prefer shill. His first joust is to take some heat off of Tenn. What a surprise. Does he not realize that the majority of prior 1st round games were decided by 20 pts or more? No issues with those, though. Bottom line is, all those that didn't qualify had too many bad losses and nothing more. Case closed. All four winning teams would have handled his southern squads, so let him whine.
ОтветитьOregon, georgia, texas, penn state would of been the 4 this year . The 12 team let notre dame and ohio state in the play off, which both teams could win a national championship. OSU might be the best team in the tournament.I don’t see how we are complaining . I am not sold on boise state and ASU either….. definitely didn’t deserve a bye . However both teams could surprise us . Bottom line more teams allows the best team to win . Alabama, Ole Miss, Miami, and south carolina probably should of replaced asu, boise st, clemson, and smu . Yet that is still to be determined based on boise and asu performance . Overall I like this format much better than previous years . Psu fan by the way… so my team would of made and benefited from the old format .
ОтветитьThere is not 12 teams of winning the NC, ok but isn't that the same thing about "MARCH MADNESS"
I mean that is what we actually live for!!
And now to have a little in December, you are hesitant
I’m sorry Paul’s opinion is the biggest fraud.
ОтветитьBut I’ll give it to Paul he would be good in politics.
ОтветитьTexas vs Clemson was NOT. a beatdown. I'm so sick of the haters narrative. Texas run game was insane on fire. But he fails to talk about how Clemson passed all over the field on Texas' defense. Klubnik almost had 400 yards, 3 tds and they were knocking on the door for an epic comeback, but Texas rose to the occasion. Here's a thought, maybe instead of shifting on everyone, maybe congratulate the winners and give respect where it is due. These haters and obvious narrative driven media wackjobs are making me want to stop watching the sport all together. I'm sick of their narratives.
Ответитьonly paul could find a way to talk trash about osu after that game lol
ОтветитьOREGON, OSU AND PSU ARE AS GOOD AS THAN TEXAS,UGA, BAMA.. BUT OLE MISS, USC, TXAM, LSU WOULD BEAT THE BRAKES OFF THE SECOND LEVEL BIG TEN
ОтветитьWhat did Tennessee do ? Lose to Georgia in a blow out and beat Alabama who didn't make the playoffs ?
ОтветитьTwo of top 3 teams in big ten got Two former SEC guys… Franklin and Lanning learned what they need while coaching in the SEC. Notre Dame will get beat up and beat down and exposed as usual, not ready for prime time big boy ball
ОтветитьPENN ST 31-23, UGA 23-14, TEXAS 27-21, OREGON 27-24
ОтветитьSEC apologists at their best
Ответить“Tennessee did something to get in”
Tell me, what did notre dame do to earn their spot? Who did they beat?
What about Texas?
This whole conversation about “earning it” is all spew to justify crying about big brands not getting in. It’s all a wash, and people see through it.
Obviously, they need to expand to a 64 team field. But before that, the season should be expanded to a 17 game schedule to match the NFL. Just make sure to allow for the kids to bring their crutches onto the field. Ya buncha money grubbing soulless husks!
ОтветитьDo 8 team playoff and get rid of the bi.
Ответить
