Fantastic video👍 Thank you for making this video. Would it be possible to make a video on how to change capacitors?
Ответитьthanks for advice
ОтветитьHi mate. Really great video. I'm trying to copy some vhs vids onto dvd. My problem with a cpl of them? is that the audio is just turning out a humming/buzzing noise. It may be the tapes are just knackered as they have'nt been played for some time. But if you've any tips on what I could try before they go in the bin? I'd really be grateful. Ps. I do have audio on other tapes that I've tried!
ОтветитьHaving an issue where I put in a tape , machine ejects and powers down. Any ideas?
ОтветитьGreat video, thanks a lot. Would you know how to adjust the drum centre screw. I moved it but can't get it back to where it should be. Any help would be great. Thanks for posting.
ОтветитьI just found this video yesterday and i was blown away by the quality of information and the detail you go into, I was an instant subscriber. i love the channel and as for any background noise, it wasn't a distraction at all so i wouldn't worry about it. All the best.
Ответитьmy vcr is intermittently going fuzzy, there seems to be an even time between each fuzzy period, any ideas? great video, thanks a lot
ОтветитьI need help with a Panasonic 4521 vcr.....it wont rewind or ff...when i hit play it makes all the sounds but then it turns itself off. What could that be?
ОтветитьThank you sir!! 👌
ОтветитьI'd like to see a step by step 'how to' I possible. Im a visual learner I'm afraid I'd screw it up if I did it by myself. But learning these things is a good start. Thank you.
ОтветитьHelp annie.
ОтветитьMine is taking the tape but the tape isn’t feeding to the main silver piece. Not sure why
ОтветитьOmg I just did all the spinning and turning of things and my VCR that hasn’t been working just started working. Thank you so much!
ОтветитьI am having an issue with audio being either absent or out of sync, the audio head is fine but the tape itself is not making complete contact with the audio head. Idk how to solve this issue
ОтветитьNever ever put WD40 in a video player it will fuck it up ...
ОтветитьI have this exact vcr! It’s playing tapes too fast and there is no sound. Any ideas?
ОтветитьMissing common fault: VCR doesn't accept the tape :X.
ОтветитьDo you have one with a belt?
ОтветитьNice video. Don't you forget de the encoder mode switch cleaning.
ОтветитьHi, my VHS accepts tapes but it doesn't display video, it makes a fast and slow audio noise. Any ideas, thanks.
ОтветитьI have about twenty old vcr's out in the shed, as well as over two thousand kick ass movies. As the functioning vcr's blink out one by one I am compelled alas to turn my efforts toward learning these things from top to bottom. I've worked on a lot of cars but this is much more interesting and relevant. I fully intend to make myself an expert, and I'm gonna watch every good video on this that I can. This was great. Thank you!
ОтветитьEven with the focusing problems in this video, it is easily the most informative one I've found here in Jan 2024. The places he points out are indeed the source of 90% of "adjustable" faults, at least as for the average d-i-y person with a bit of mechanical interest. Thanks !!
ОтветитьGreat Infos,,nice to see,,,it helps my Video to alive,,Mike
Ответитьmode switch
ОтветитьHaving this weird issue where my vcr makes a whining noise when playing tapes and it makes the picture look wavy. I've noticed if I take the top off and just lightly touch the fixed guiding post it stops. Not sure if I need to somehow tighten or maybe loosen the post.
ОтветитьTHANK YOU!!! My idler was stuck!
ОтветитьThinking about applying to Lightning Fast VCR Repair after this
ОтветитьThis was amazing! Damn! We want more! We want more!
Ответитьhi
i have betacam decks i have not change any cap in the power units at all there is one model i need to change over 5 caps under the VU meter and change a small fuse
i changed capes for my mate he gets up set about the cost of the new caps i have to put in as he's only payed silly money for the deck
i had to pay £17 for 4 new caps 6800uf ones i did pay alot for the soundcraft 381 - 8
a deck like this i don't know what it cost now
Amazing concise video
ОтветитьYOU SAVED MY VCR! THANK YOU!! it was the capstan! It was solid as a rock, I didn’t even realize it was supposed to move. Some WD40 on a q tip carefully worked down along the shaft and a rubber band to help me get a grip on the blasted thing to work it in. I went from having no picture or sound playback (but the tape advanced and rewound just fine) to having perfect picture quality again. Thank you! I’m not sure what that did to restore the picture as I have no idea how a vcr works but hey. If it works, it works :D
