ОтветитьThere isn't a supply chain problem. It's the gov't destroying small business and ordering that people lose their jobs if they dare care about their own bodies.
Ответить👍 🎥❤
ОтветитьWood stoves rarely mess up. Really enjoyed the filming in this video. Could not make out the duck species. The rut is making deer move, too. Thanks for the video. Hope you get the part. Maybe try buying a second hand model of the same heater to always have parts?
ОтветитьYummy breakfast, Jen! My wife loves her Blackstone, too! (I got it for her birthday this year.) Good luck with getting your heater repaired. Looks like you're pretty much on top of it!
ОтветитьWhat a bummer.. Do you ever regret you didn't choose a wood burning stove instead? Of Course they can break down too, but it probably will take some more years.. Thanx for sharing Jen, as always!
ОтветитьGood luck fixing your heater! Enjoyed the visit today
ОтветитьPut a few drops of super glue on the ceramic igniter, it will still work until your new one arrives. I live in Georgia, USA we are just getting a few hints of fall color and cooler temps on 10/31/21. Love your channel.
ОтветитьThanks for the video Jen. Enjoyed as always. Best wishes from England.
ОтветитьI have to add my vote for a wood burning stove, Jen. While we have an oil furnace at home, 90% of our heating is done with wood. We bought a small Hearthstone enameled model about ten years ago, and it's never failed us. More work, of course, but you're young and healthy!!
ОтветитьHappy Halloween!! 🎃👻🦇😈🖤🕷💀🌙🧟♀🕸🧛🏻♂⚰
ОтветитьAmen~!
ОтветитьThird on the super glue hack. First thing that came to mind.Given its function I don't think it would be a safety issue
ОтветитьFall is my favorite time of year the color’s and the brisk mornings are awesome. Amazing how nature gives us the beauty to enjoy. I hope your heater issue is resolved. What l have learned with the supply chain so disruptive is to order two of everything. Have an awesome week
ОтветитьHey CJ, can't you just lite the pilot manually? If not I'd be ordering 2 igniters and anything else that's a weak link to the unit. Great vid 👍😃✌️🇺🇸
ОтветитьRemember the space is small; so, a wood stove wouldn't work.
ОтветитьMy big concern with kerosene or propane is carbon monoxide. You don't want anything backing up CO into the living area, as I'm sure you know.
ОтветитьTry a Mr. Heater Buddy with 1 pound propane canisters!
ОтветитьWhy not opt to heat your cabin with a wood stove? They are so beautiful and practical for both heating and cooking..not to mention cosy on a cold Winter's night all snuggled up with your Sweetie!
ОтветитьToo bad about the heater . Hope you get the part soon.
Ответитьppl her cabin is tiny.... no room for a wood stove unless she and hubs knock out a wall and add on for the stove.....
Ответитьmake sure when you find the right part to get 2 or 3 of them......best wishes
ОтветитьWow that left me wanting more!!! 🥰
ОтветитьHope that you get that part soon. Good ol' kerosene heater to the rescue.
ОтветитьI have a small cabin and 13 years ago when I got it I went with wood burning stove. No parts to break. Cleaning the flue once a year. Maybe once in awhile may need a gasket or replace bricks but nothing major. With good maintenance won’t let you down. With all the trees you have plenty of fuel. So disappointing when something like this happens with a missing part. Stay warm.
ОтветитьI love your channel - but as someone in Florida, when you say “it was about +9 in the cabin, a little chill” it really makes me laugh! I’dve been frozen like the mushrooms!
ОтветитьI’m surprised the water is that low with all the rain we’ve had the last few weeks in Eastern Ontario. Hope you get your heater going ASAP. Winter isn’t too far away. Thanks for sharing. Take care and stay safe.
ОтветитьI found some kerosene that is called clean burning with little to no smell for my lamps. Maybe they make some for heaters too.
ОтветитьThank you, Jen, for another great video, and hope you get that part soon.
ОтветитьI love everything about your cabin videos. Breakfast on the front porch griddle, stinky kerosene heaters (I agree), overstimulated dogs and frozen mushrooms in the autumn forest! Thank you for sharing! ❤️
ОтветитьWe hope you get your propane heater going sooner than later.❤
ОтветитьGreat Time Trail Tramping With You & Royce, Good Luck On Your Heater, Jen ! ATB T God Bless
ОтветитьHI Jen, Use steel wool in the holes that you don"t want mice to come into the cabin. They will chew threw the foam, also take a bar of Irish Spring soap and cut into strips and place that around the cabin. Mice hate the soap smell and it will leave your cabin smelling clean. Hope this helps and I love walking through the woods in the fall. I love the smell of the leaves and the woods.
ОтветитьI have a small Vermont Casting Aspen wood stove in my cabin. I can only get the temp inside about 20 degrees F higher than what is outside. I still have some more insulation to do under the main floor. I also want to get the outside air attachment for the stove so it is not using inside air for combustion. I'm thinking of getting an outside vent propane heater like you have as a back up. I currently have a Mr. Heater propane heater which I attach to a 20 lb propane cylinder to get the chill off in the mornings. Hope you get the parts you need for your heater. Great video! - Dave
ОтветитьBismar sent me gaskets and my Martin is doing great. You must yes must have a wood stove option. I have only a 14x16 cabin with no loft. I have the Martin Heat, Small Wood stove and AC/Heat combo unit. Yes multiple ways a must and being in the woods a wood stove having endless wood for heat.
ОтветитьSuper glue that ceramic piece together and see if it holds, until you get the new one. Then keep it as a spare. I heat with wood.
ОтветитьHi Jen, sorry about your misfortunes with your propane heater. I haven't had any issues with my Empire direct vent wall mount, it's been over 10 years now without a hitch. I think you'd be happy with a small wood burner there. You can reduce the costs by exiting the cabin higher within fire regulations code of course with the black pipe, and it also allows ease of access for the clean-out using the chimney sweep. It's been a busy year here for myself with a lot of improvements regarding my solar energy system, etc. My next days off I'll be sharing some footage with a few changes here. Take care. 🙂
ОтветитьShould have gone with a wood stove
ОтветитьI have an electric heater that needs fixing. It worked one year the next it didn't. I love your place. ; )
ОтветитьLots of little details add up but you are sorting it out. Hopefully the part will arrive soon.
Ответитьcan't use a long match?
Ответитьthat's to bad about your propane heater hope you get it fixed up. take care
ОтветитьI have the Ashley Stove version and have had mixed experience. Now I'm trying to find out why I don't get a full burn. I only seem to get a low burn. Perhaps it's the regulator. I've ordered a two stage regulator from Amazon.
ОтветитьIgnitors are pretty generic in construction and size. It's just an electrode grounding to the frame creating a spark. Just wrap it in electric tape and reinstall it. Just make sure the tape is not where it grounds out.
Just think through the logic of the problem and most times you can mcguiver it in a pinch.
Jen, can you glue/epoxy that igniter together?
ОтветитьGot my deer bow hunting last week. 2nd day out. Processed and in the freezer.
ОтветитьLove this channel......btw rats hate peppermint oil i use it in my garage when i noticeed their droppings.
