In fact, when the '813' occurred in 2021, ZZH's company only issued a statement, and then kicked him out of the company, leaving him with huge debts. And ZZH's Weibo account was immediately bombarded.
On one hand, there was no online platform for him to explain the truth, (those ppl who wanted to help him speak out were banned and harassed as well). So the Internet only remained the increasingly ridiculous rumors from the cyber trolls by then.
On the other hand, offline, due to the sensitivity of the issue, the police were not willing to accept his report of being political framed.
To outsiders, it looked like he a top celebrity who disappeared in just two days, but in reality, he was a struggling artist who had been trapped in a vicious competition for three years and had been fighting back all on his own for three years.

I am glad to see Zhang Zhehan stepping out and clarified all rumours personally. Never knew China was a society not governed by laws, and I think that’s why all the talented and good Chinese eventually left China be it to pursue their career or a better life

Such a ridiculous and false scandal happened to Zhang Zheham can in exist in China is so stunning! He completely lost he opportunity to do his work there and can't even use his name openly there! So ridiculous!

Just for people who don’t know what happened to Zhang Zhehan, he was framed with the false information and photoshopped pictures by the vicious competitor! As the result of that he lost everything he had, he lost the right to use his own name, his name was not allowed in many of the application system (e.g.his name is not allowed to be used in Huawei’s phone as a nickname, also his name was not allowed in many food delivering order system). Mr. Zhang is not only an extremely talented actor and singer,but is also a very good person with high integrity. So sad that even though every rumor about him was false, that even though he lost everything there and had to paid millions penalties for the forced broken commercial endorsements, he could not and still can not have any channel for legal help there!

Come on, ignorant people believe that the little building behind him is the SHRINE? The shrine is much grander and have guards/security at the door. That is a General Store for tourist information. Not to mention that at that time the Shrine is 'under construction' and no visitors were allowed. With a little bit of diligence, all these info are on websites.

ZZH did explain at least twice before that photo. Now it's the third time. At first I believed that he just hadn't known where he was and somebody bombed him. But then he came up with the second and third version, and all three of them are quite different. I don't think I believe him.

This indeed isn’t the first time he explained. But previously his voice was muffled. His message has been consistent: I am Chinese, I love my country, I didn’t do it. He was a victim of a well-planned smear campaign by malicious parties in the entertainment industry. It was such an unbelievable journey that he not only survived but also became a great singer, a writer, a songwriter/composer, and an award-winning director. Highly recommend his directorial debut <August>.

Thank you for sharing Zhang Zhehan's clarification and the facts in your video. By December 2024, I will have been a fan of Zhehan for three years. I live in the US and have traveled to Thailand twice, as well as to Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Korea. The long exhausted flights were definitely worth it. I enjoyed every moment of his concerts and fan meetings. Seeing how strong and outstanding he is inspires me to keep moving, never give up no matter what.

I appreciate Zhang Zhehan very much. When I saw those travel photos, I knew that he was innocent. The travel photos in 2018 were not used to be slandered and rumors until 2021. Three years later, he used rumors to attack Mr. Zhang and did not allow him to clarify for himself. Moreover, some netizens wanted to help Mr. Zhang clarify the matter at that time. Ironically, if this incident hadn’t happened, I would have moved on from Zhang Zhehan. But because the incident was overblown, I had to investigate. Once I found out what a sunny, talented, and upright man he is, I became his diehard fan. It’s the same story repeated with many fans. Not only did the perpetrators failed to bring him down, they made him more beloved.

I miss ZZH soooo much. He was one of my fav actors, very talented. I was so heartbroken with what happened. It was basically a witch-hunt. They leave no room for him to breathe or even attempt to let him explain himself. Looking at Korea and china, I hate that the media and netizens have that much power over celebrities.

Zhangzhehan's Korean concert on Nov 16 is a dream to me. Congratulations to Zhang that the documentary directed by him August won a few awards in Europe. He is on his way to Amsterdam to attend the award presentation ceremony on Nov 30.
