That was brilliant 👏 Thank you to Jack and Jacob on this.
Has anyone seen these Christmas reels / end of season reels that we've all heard about so many times over the years? Would be great to see them.
The real Michael Knight
ОтветитьGreat stuff, Gill has been mentioned so much on this channel that he might as well have been a member of the team.
ОтветитьKnightrider vs Dukes of hazzard...😃
Aka kitt vs general lee. 😃
Michael pressed rocket thruster button..not turbo boost
ОтветитьI knew that Jack worked on Knight Rider, but I never knew that he worked on the Dukes of Hazzard. Now I get why the General Lee was referenced in Knight Rider so much.
ОтветитьBrilliant interview! Many thanks.
ОтветитьPause... where can I get scanner bar hat that?!
ОтветитьJack Gill
ОтветитьSo many times Jack said the landing was hard, and talked about compression - would he mean spinal compression?
All those jumps must have taken a toll on him. I cant help wonder if the after effects are impacting his mobility as he gets older.
Fantastic memories and insight to these awesome stunts 🙂👍 Great photos too!
New Knight Rider film and franchise would be indeed awesome to see, hopefully with as many original cast & crew members as possible, KITT as '82 Trans-Am included 🙂
Trans-Am of course was present day car back in the 80's, but looked futuristic, and KITT even more futuristic.
Now it's difficult to find similar car from today's cars, when a lot of them are SUV's and Crossovers. Secondly, what is even "futuristic" today, when we've seen already really amazing things in technology and pretty wild car design, so maybe original '82 KITT is still the best choice after all :)
Jack Gil, Corey Eubanks; Alan Wyatt Jr And Buzz Bundy Was a real life heros!!!!
Ответитьthe jump over the lake in Good day at white rock would have been a good one to ask him if that car survived
ОтветитьWow, great questions, footage and very nice of Jack Gill to share so much of the backside stories! Funny thing is, back then I just enjoyed the story telling done by very well cut together shots (and the authentic looking romantic scenes). The story of the sleek sports car, doing everything in conjunction with a good vs evil story and sympathic David Hasselhoff backed up by a hidden team in a truck really hit the spot for me back then. When I rewatched many episodes some years ago I was stunned, how well made the car stunt scenes were actually made from my more experienced view as an hobby offroad driver. To me this seemed only possible to be done by an exceptionelly well working together team. Hearing from Jack Gill that it was indeed like that makes my heart melt in joy ! Thank you for this insights !
ОтветитьSuch a cool video. I think the coolest part is that he takes the time to do it.
ОтветитьI feel like there's something wrong with me because I'm watching something came out over 40 years ago. At least I'm not alone
ОтветитьYes there are a lot of people building kitt replicas. But finding a donor car is getting more difficult??
ОтветитьBut if you watch closely after the charger blows up, it changes to a 1977 Dodge Monaco. The bend in the front end makes me think it's the one landed on the AMC Hornet at the end of no big thing
ОтветитьIt's always a great pleasure to listen to Jack Gill and other stunt performers share their memories. Jack Gill, Al Wyatt Jr., Corey Eubanks, Hal Needham and all the other talented stunt performers in the world deserve more recognition for their mind-blowing work in movies and television shows.
ОтветитьI sure wish I had the bungee setup when I jumped my mustang! Two years later and my back still stiff getting out of bed or after laying on the ground working on cars!
ОтветитьSeeing that landing makes me cringe and tighten up. It looks so painful.
ОтветитьSomeone get stuttering stu outta here
ОтветитьRegarding the Charger jump, I had always assumed it was the rubber bodied buggy stunt car the way the whole trunk bent down at the rear wheel arch on landing. That's brutal.
ОтветитьFascinating stuff, I could listen to this man for hours.
ОтветитьGreat interview, although I would have loved to know how much control they actually had over the angle of the car in the air. I know they weighed down the trunk, but I get the impression it was still hard to predict what the car might actually do. And it seems to vary a lot through the series.
