No court records provided with the video? How interesting. My bet is like the rest, they are lying, and not taking any responsibility for their actions. These people spend decades coming up with whatever sob story they can. Anyone see the Joe Rogan interview with that former inmate who "Only gave 2 stitches" , well about two weeks after that interview he dismembered a corpse in his apartment. Lmao

I feel sorry for these ladies . As a kid I use to think my parents and late grandmother was hard on us kids but it kept us out of trouble none of us have ever been in trouble with the law . Also even if you were not apart of a murder if you are there it makes you an accessory to murder . Then this lady goes on in the video I didnt know what had happen but yes you did, you knew he killed his ex wife and you did not turn him in . This is why as an adult Im careful who I keep as friends

Ive been in state prison as well, NOT BECAUSE I MURDERED someone, because i had pain pills on me, and a lot, but i never played games, and told on people to get a reduced sentence, which is what most people do, they cant except the fact, that THEY made a stupid decision, they always wanna blame it on someone, or something else. Im not afraid to admit i was wrong, so i did my time without complaints. If youre in prison, its because youre supposed to be

Amerikkka was built by slaves so I’m not surprised at all that Amerikkka is so bent on locking up as many people as possible. Clearly, if you are culpable of a crime you belong behind bars but these women being sentenced to lwop is wild!

As all these baby boomers age the government will be on the hook for all the ailments that come with the elderly. Diabetes, heart conditions, cancers, hip surgeries and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Wait until dementia sets in. They might as well start building elderly care homes now!

I’ve seen many of these documentaries and something i see in common is that people don’t fully take responsabilities for what they did, they all attribute it to difficult situations in early childhood, or someone else or something else, never it was me who made a bad decision, it was me and deciding doing wrong over good

While I feel bad for these women... Most guilty people minimize their involvement. So unless you get a copy of the trial transcripts you cannot believe everything they're saying in the 6 mins you hear their case, from their point of view.
The victims did not get a second chance.
The victims were not given mercy.
When I was raising my kids in the 80s I taught them that if the person you are with commits a crime then you will also get the same punishment. This is not a new law. I grew up knowing this.

Choices = Consequences

I don't have any criminal convictions, but I know people who do. Am thankful to live in Ireland. We believe in rehabilitation. Sometimes we get it wrong. But the only people locked up for a whole life term are people who have proven their violence and commited horrendous murders. We only have one or two prisoners with this status. We are aware that people change over time and give them an opportunity to be useful to society. The American system is so scary. People who havent even committed crimes locked up for the rest of their lives, its completely inhumane and completely wrong. Especially if they are under 30. The prison industry is the biggest industry in the US now. And it is not working. Their idea of 3 strikes and your out, or full life term sentences, have not reduced crime. Its worse for the elderly and terminally ill prisoners who are now a huge percentage of the prison population. So glad i dont live there. People make mistakes and can be rehabilitated 😢

These women offer valuable insight others; Such as, myself can and should learn from. Additionally, I understand men & women have made wrong decisions, but they can still be valuable to the entire world if they touch just one soul to live in love and not hatred & I agree with the concept of watch your company & be your own best friend. 👍

@Paulonius-j2e

Prisons need to help prisoners become more human, not less. For example, they should be involved with growing their own food. Make or repair useful things for those outside prison walls. Practice yoga and meditation. Mentor troubled teens. Take care of animals. Learn productive skills and trades. Lifers and long-term inmates should not simply be waiting to die. People need to feel useful and have a purpose to be alive. Create ways to give that to prisoners so as not to be committing a crime against humanity. 😶

The women who spoke of the study in California has obviously not looked at California lately! They are soft on prisoners and look at that state! It is in the top five worst states in the country! It’s an embarrassment to the country! There is no such thing as out living the crime of murder. You can never make it right. Society deserves to be protected from these people! I didn’t hear one of these people who didn’t commit the murder talk of going to the police and doing the right thing. The family of all these victims lives without their family member for the rest of their life. Atleast these people get to live. There are many people who are in prison who should get a second chance at freedom! If they had a hand in killing someone they are disqualified! Letting them out because knowing they won’t get out is why they won’t behave in prison is moronic!
