It is funny that the quickest ever stock octavia is not a VRS it would be the 272hp 4x4 superb… 0-100 in 5.6secs…

The smoke should have been water in the exhausts. This issue is well known by all the Octavia 3 RS TSI drivers.

Not bad, but not far to get one model with diesel engine and one with petrol engine. For example the 3rd gen Octavia VRS was available in 2.0L Petrol engine with 245HP and 350Nm but the diesel VRS was only 184HP with the same 350Nm torque. In the same VRS model and these cars had very different 0-100km/h acceleration. Almost always the petrol engine has better numbers (on the first race the Octavia III had start issues). It was just an example, but I think it would be better, if you chose only diesel cars or only petrol models.

Get an old Fabia VRS with a PD130, chuck in a hybrid turbo, and you'll smoke every other VRS.

Loved this.. am about to take delivery of my new Octavia vRS soon.. but have had 4 Skoda's as company cars now, and loved every one. Had Diesel Octavia Estate vRS, then Octavia Saloon L&K then Superb Estate L&K and now going for a Octavia Saloon vRS Petrol ! Thank you @skoda !
