Great comparison... I’ve got a few mics we use but I am perpetually screwing up our audio (really difficult on the beach here because it is so windy, my rode with a mic-fluff does nothing to combat the wind here).

They're both alright. The $7 may have a little bit more tone. You sound more up close vs. The $20 one sounds more high pitch.

I think the sound is really about the same to be honest. Of course the internal mic had no noise cancelling feature so that one was the worst. I was only able to get the Shure MV-88 to work with my IPhone. None of the lav mics would work. Great comparison video. Thanks Dee!

Whats the best wireless mic for android phones if they make such a thing?

Both sound kind of high pitched but very clear. But I ll try and find one for my phone because I really need a mike that overpasses the internal phone mike.

I use the S9plus to do all my videos. You are definitely right about the phones picking up a LOT of background noise as well as wind noise. I went to my local Best Buy and bought the Rode Micro. It does help some. The Muxma mic actually sounded pretty good. I just didn't go with the lapel type mic because in most of our videos, we are moving around a lot. Although that mic did sound really good. Might have to check in to it at some point :-) Thank you for sharing!
