Christ is God ✝️🇮🇪
ОтветитьFrom a Muslim, the different schools of thoughts and denominations have slight differences but the philosophy is not super different. Amongst the ummah (the Muslim followers) you hear 'follow the sunnah' (the way). At my mosque, we have all different types of people coming. Desis, Arabs, Africans, Desis (south asian folk) and others like Balkans, Central Asian and Indonesian. We come from all these different type of places. I saw some Mexicans and reverts. Everyone's philosophy is not drastically different from each other. The most apparent thing that would set us apart is how we pray, but we do the same motions. Some people stand with their feet touching, shoulder to shoulder, some people stand with their feet at shoulder length, feet and shoulders touching others, or others would stand with their feet wider than their shoulders, still leaving no gaps however. After every rakat, some people bring their hands to their ears, when my family and I only do it once in the beginning.
I learned about these differences when one time, I asked my dad, "I saw a man praying, he had his hands at the bottom of his chest? Don't women put their hands on their chest?" My dad replied, "Ohh, that's sha'fi mazab (madhab)", then he explained to me about the different schools of thought, and he explained that our culture mainly follows hanafi.
During Ramadan, when we pray witr wajib, three rakah prayer at the end of the night. Some people recite a prayer 'witr du'a' "Allahumma inna nasta inuka...", which is what my family normally does. My mosque would recite a 2-3 minute du'a, saying whatever they want, usually other recited prayers. We would go along with the congregation, it's not the wrong way.
The schools of thought don't make a crazy difference. Where the difference is truly apparent is amongst Sunnis, Shias, Ahmadiyya and Baha'i. The polytheistic nature of these different faiths has much of the Muslim community turn away from them.
Other terms are usually thrown around like Wahhabi to identify extremists or to make a group look bad. The media calls the Taliban 'wahhabi' when the Taliban claims they are simply following Shari'a (law) and the sunnah. Others would call Khabib Nurmagomedov and his group salafists because they practice really strict Islam, when geographically speaking, Salafism wouldn't have made it to the Caucas mountains despite the spread of information. I never met someone that called themselves 'salafists,' if you ask Khabib himself, he would probably claim he's just "following the sunnah of the prophet."
One term that gets thrown around, and it may vary to different cultures is 'sufi.' Although from what we are taught, sufis follow a syncretic version of Islam. They smoke, play music, dance, where long white clothing. I asked my dad what a sufi is, he was confused on what I wanted him to answer with. Usually in Afghanistan, a Sufi is simply 'a really holy person.' They don't have to snoke, listen to music, dance etc.
blessings to everyone from a muslim salafist
ОтветитьOnce again I do not know why people call saudi salafis or hanbalis Wahhabi when literally none of us have ever called ourselves that but every single sect gets to call themselves what they want, it’s disrespectful and stupid
ОтветитьThey've no unity. Thank God. Otherwise we would have bloodshed all over in the world
ОтветитьHonestly was very interested in the video but the sound effect of iPhone notification made me click away
ОтветитьThere is 1 quran and only authentic hadith all other is innovations and and innovations are wrong
ОтветитьI am not a sunni, nor a shia, nor a sufi. I am a muslim. Allah says to not divide urself into sects.
ОтветитьLove it!
ОтветитьIt's my understanding that at least conceptually the Shafi'i and Hanbali put Sunnah above the Quran. Although the Sunnah isn't necessarily the Hadith.
ОтветитьProud to be a twelver shia who is not deceived by khamenei and his followers
ОтветитьYou missed Jehovah's witness. I think they are most similar with islam
Ответитьi’m non-denominational and i didn’t know it had a name until now
ОтветитьMissing from the video but could be the topic of another one:
- Qadianis
- Alawaites
- Habashis
- Although a complete off shoot of Islam, I think Durzis would fit here too
Just like Christianity.
Oh NO !
The Quran says that sectarianism is haram !
Sufism to Charismatic is damn relatable 😂
I am a Shafiite and have Baptist neighbor, we share each other's religious story and when she told me she tried Charismatic (pentacost) church, she feels weird and mind blown by the singing. I also saw sufist performed dzikr which blown my mind too,
Like, okay why
Zoomer is terrible 💩
ОтветитьThe Oriental Orthodox part was completely wrong:
“They have a pope but they don’t think he’s infallible” only the Copts have what they call a pope, a title that bears no actual meaning or power in either Catholicism or Coptic Orthodoxy, he’s as infallible as the whole Coptic Church is.
“They don’t venerate icons” they ABSOLUTELY venerate icons.
As a Jew, you all Christians are too stupid to understand Islam.
Ответитьplot twist: their all catholics
ОтветитьThe most impressive vlog I have ever seen.
I really enjoyed this critical and detailed research of synchronising Islam (its different denomination)with Christianity (and its denominations)
Thanks.
This is the reason why you shouldn't rely on christians about information...
ОтветитьIslam is the enemy of God and the west.
ОтветитьJust rambling with no clue really about what you’re talking about! Saying that Hanbalis reject “the consensus” is pure nonsense, and saying that Shi’a is a “Muslim sect” similar to other groups is on another level of nonsense. If you had a basic knowledge about Islam you would know that Muslim group from the one you mentioned consider the Shi’a Muslims! Instead, all major Muslim groups and schools of thought consider Shi’a a different religion altogether…and I will skip the rest because these two points alone show how shallow your knowledge about Islam is.
ОтветитьWtf is this thumbnail
ОтветитьWould love to hear your take on Quranist Muslims and the Nation of Islam
ОтветитьWhy not find an Islamic historian to explain the different sects?
ОтветитьThe plural of hadiith in English is hadiths. The plural in Arabic is al-ahaadiith. Hadith by itself just means conversation.
ОтветитьAs an Arab talker why you put scholars names and put orthodox or something beside it
ОтветитьSince muslims claim to be of the abrahamic faith, but didnt start until 1800 yrs after abraham and judaism,, does that mean, islam is a islamist denomination of judaism???
ОтветитьNaaah brooo we are one ummah Islam is one and only. There is no such thing as sectarianism in the religion of Islam.
ОтветитьIt's a bit unfortunate that you'd compare the different strands of Islam by comparing them to (for the most part) the many American denominations of protestantism. It doesn't give any meaningful addition to the video for someone that isn't American
ОтветитьI follow the Quran and hadiths of all sects.
Ответить-And, What is the worst sect of the Islam?
+ YES
I hope we can come together as brothers in Abraham to protect our children from fundamentalist subversive influences.
ОтветитьThere is no sunni, shia,Ibadis and any other sects
“Indeed, you (O Prophet) are not responsible whatsoever for those who have divided their faith and split into sects. Their judgment rests only with Allah. And He will inform them of what they used to do”. (Qur'an 6:159)
The Quran also says in Surah Al-Imran, chapter 3, verse 103 to hold together to the rope of Allah and not be divided.
Making sects in the religion of Islam is strictly forbidden.
What about Maturidiya school of thought?
ОтветитьI would rather this video a 5/10
5 for the briefed info about every group and zero for destroying the categorization which made all the groups seem equal in thought and belief but when i explain you'll see that this is far from the truth
lets just say that we can put the groups you mentioned in three different categories which would be Mzaheb Mdares and Feraq
Mazahb can be translated into a curriculum of understanding islam between hanbali malki shafi or hanafi
they all are sunni muslim they all consider the rest four to be sunni muslim and it's acceptable to follow one of these four or pick from them four together in each situation or not to follow the four all together
and its common to find scholars saying hey ppl don't follow any of the four and only follow the text and other scholars saying hey guys it would be better to pick one of the four to follow since it's the result of long years and thousands of minds dedicated to that curriculum
second would be Mdares or schools
like suffism salafizim or asharism
which is a long chain of collective effort with a main school of thought
like follow only the tafseer of the salaf for salafizim or critical thinking within the text like asharism or simply offering love and sincerity in a simple relation with God like suffism
and you can follow both a school and a mazhab
like for example most salafies follow the hanbali curriculum most ashari are hanafies and many schools don't follow a certain curriculum
so within schools and mzaheb you are considered a sunni Muslim you pray in the same mosque within the same line the same way
but then comes Feraq or sects and it starts with zaydeya which can be considered Muslims with wrong understanding all the way to esna ashreya and ja'faria which the line of islam gets lost and becomes individual
some of them would be considered Muslims and some not depending on what they believe and it ends with alawites and bahaya wich they themselves acknowledge that they're not Muslims
bahaies have a guy claims that hes God incarnation on earth and he was sent by himself to cancel Qur'an and give a new revlation
and
alawites have a trinity in which ali is God and Muhammad is his name and salman is his like holy ghost
The Shia/Catholic connection is interesting as, anecdotally, Shia converts seem to prefer Orthodoxy or Catholicism over Protestant denominations.
Plus there's connection, at least in recent history, between Shia minority leadership & relative tolerance of indigenous Orthodox/Catholic Christians in the Near East.
My father is a Salafi, and my mother is a Sunni, while I am agnostic but still curious and studying Islam 😅
ОтветитьAnd everyone worships: a demon.
ОтветитьThe different is islam only have one quran, but christian have different bible among themself and also different translation in one denomination.
Islam have one believe system about god, angel, prophet, scripture, afterlife, and predestination.
christians have different, someone said that jesus was god, some said he was son of god, and some like Unitarianism who said jesus was a prophet.
Funny but informative.
ОтветитьIslam and Judaism are responsible for every conflict in the eastern hemisphere since the founding of their heretical crap.
ОтветитьYapping too much
Ответить🇵🇰 = Islam Occupied India
ОтветитьEasy this is the way the truth in the life Hey I just wanted to say Jesus loves you and you are valuable made in Gods image And he loved you so much that he came down as a human to die for your sins Jesus loves you John 3;16 say for God so loved the world he gave his only son so whoever believe in him will not perish but have eternal meaning in heaven" he is salvation from sin and hell we've all sinned and deserve hell but Jesus paid the price for our sin with his blood so though true faith in him we will be saved we canot live a Good life to get to heaven nor by any good thing we do solely by true faith in Jesus are we saved true faith mean following Jesus and his commands and truly living for him by faith in him Prayer for giving your life to Christ Lord I recognise I am a sinner In need of the Savoir And I trust in the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ Who is God come to died for me I wish to follow you from this Day forward I want to turn form every sinful way and live for you and I ask for your help to do so in Jesus name amen Just remember The prayer doesn't save you but true faith in Jesus does the prayer is a show of faith to God Asking to be saved and accepting Jesus as lord
ОтветитьThis is ground breaking!!!
Up until recently, everyone thought of Islam as a monolith
Now you break it down like so
And spell out the difference between the heartland and cultural perspectives of movement and island perriferies(from a Jewish/ Christian view)
A Muslim here. Sunni’s make up 90% of the Islamic world and only Shia’s 9% and other misguided sets are what makes up the 1% left. The 4 schools of thought are not sects and there’s no such a thing as Wahhabism that’s a name of Allah. Salafism just means following the Quran and the Sunnah on the understanding of the predecessors and that’s what every Muslim in world is trying to strife for in there day to day lives. Islam doesn’t have as much sects as Christianity does and nor does it have a big percentages for every sect. In the end of the day the Muslims who are premised paradise are those who stick to what the prophet laid out for us. And to stay away from any invasion into the religion. ☪️☝🏾
