As a preteen in mid 90s, I liked Ra's pyramid design and I also liked the Gold ranger from ZEO's pyramid design too. In my 40s now and I still think they look awesome.

The movie has better visual detail in things but the show has much better sound. It’s strange how simple and boring some of the sound is in the movie. Yet in the show, which obviously had a lower budget, it has some of the coolest sounds I’ve heard. It would be so awesome to have a show like sg1 again that had movie/movie-like quality like shows do now. Shame so many old shows suffer from lower visual quality and detail.

This is one reason why you may or may not want to go out and greet the alien spaceship if you see one! Might become a slave on another world, might be experimented on, etc.. curiosity killed the cat!

A really fun film that spawned one of the best sci-fi franchises of all time. SG1 deserves all of the love it gets, but it wouldn't exist without this film, and the extended cut is even better. Just a great classic sci-fi action flick.
