ОтветитьKiller force in effect.
ОтветитьPerhaps best version of Willowcrest tpt solo surreal

Ответитьman you can't stream this 26 minute version of channel one anywhere. I had to buy this shit on CD 😂
ОтветитьDude in audience:"Buddy."
Buddy:"What?"
D.i.a."How you doin?"
Buddy:"Alright,how u doin?"
D.i.a."Good."
Buddy:"Alright."
-Priceless
No video?!?!?! Would have been worth it's weight in gold.
ОтветитьThem crazy live heaven sounds 🤪🎼🎵🙃✌️🎉🎻🎺✋🎊😇
ОтветитьKonnikoff!! Stahl!!! Pratt!!! Marshall!!! 🎺🎺🎺🎺
ОтветитьThe electric bass ruins the sound of a Jazz Big Band. HORRIBLE.
ОтветитьCorrect spellings: Clint SHARMAN- trombone; Barry KEINER-piano. Also, Eby & Boyle are the bass trombonists. Also, Lead trumpet is Stahl & Rodriguez.
Ответитьi have this album " tales of rhoda rat" i have played that cut asking anyone who is the drummer? no one guessed it was mr. rich!!
Ответить久しぶりに聴いたら鼻血でそう。
ОтветитьOne of my favorite charts -- Ya Gotta Try by Sammy Nestico. Played it years ago with an Army band. Hard, driving rhythm. But ya gotta play lightly to play those rhythms in time.
ОтветитьTHERE ISNT ANYTHING ON EARTH LIKE THIS BRUSH SOLO.
ОтветитьWtf. Beyond genius
ОтветитьSTEVE MARCUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьGOD HE RULED. INSANE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьYES this is the version of Time Out I was looking for.
ОтветитьOn this planet he was IT. MY GOD THE BRUSHES
ОтветитьSeeing is believing, especially with arguably the best drummer ever.
ОтветитьThis music is simply amazing! The tightness of ensemble and virtuosity would give any classical orchestra a run for their money. Incredible!
ОтветитьBest big band of all time.
ОтветитьBuddy is definitely Rich.
He’s the DNA for all drummers. 😅
I discovered Ya Gotta Try in the late 90s while driving in my pickup on a lunch break. It blew me away. A friend and I made it the soundtrack in a video competition. The visual content was mediocre, but with this explosive music and frantic editing we came in second place to a video including actual sky-diving. It's all down to Buddy Rich and his total domination of the drive of the band. BR is a great musician by any measure. I would also say that I have a similar experience listening to the 1964 Woody Herman band.
ОтветитьUnfortunately there is only one Buddy Rich!
ОтветитьTHAT'S JUST AMAZING HANDS....ALL HAIL TO HIS HANDS.
ОтветитьTHIS ALBUM SOUNDS INCREDIBLE LIVE!!!!!!!!! I DIDN'T KNOW HE HAD AN ALBUM OUT BACK THEN OF SOME OF THESE JAMS BANGED OUT LIVE..... AMAZING, LIKE A OCTOPUS ON A DRUM SET.
ОтветитьSometimes you just gotta dance in front of your pets while they look confused.
Ответитьthis HAD to be thee hottest band he had i mean look at the names here and just listen to how great everyone is..not one weak player in this band if i had MY way this would be the true "killer force" this band is unbelievably great no clams here baby! its sterling silver man is this on fire tales of rhoda rat is the definitive version i just loved this recording everything is so clean and burnin it's sad we cant get to see this band live ever again..when we lost buddy sure we lost a great drummer but we also lost a lot more the music he gave us i don't think i'm ever going to hear live music played as well ever again and i loved each and every tune..i miss the music as much as i do the man himself..i'm sure this was the last time i heard music played as well and i havent had anything even coming close to this ever again and sadly? never will again..theres no more fire anymore i hate to have to even admit that but lets just be real this is truly where it was at..i knew it as a kid of 15 as well as i know it now at 59 years old..it's never going to be equaled on any level..ever again and guys? dont waste your time on that greg potter shit..thats exactly what buddy would have HATED regardless of what his daughter says sad that it seems i knew this man so much better than she did or so it seem..
Ответитьone correction the pianist is barry KeiNER not "KLeiNER" and sadly at some point they found him dead of an overdose ON the bus..now imagine how hard that was for buddy and the rest of the guys i mean when you're on the road with a band you are literally up each others asses the conditions can be extremely tight so you really get to know the others it becomes like a family so i can almost feel the shock and the loss myself just hearing about..sad, tragic and sad
Ответитьoddly and I'm NOT sure why but at the beginning of COS. THE seemingly impromptu AMAZING AMAZING brush solo wasnt actually part of channel one at all! anyone with not even great but just "ok ears" can hear that the drums are not of the same tension and the hall itself sounds vastly different as well even the audience sounds different sadly this solo isnt credited by itself but should have been not sure why they pasted this to the top of channel one I've been asking people for years who'd know but no one can seem to recall where or even when it was actually recorded my guess it comes from the first show not the second where channel one is found.. if anyone knows about this please hip me out! but there IS NO DOUBT that brush solo was never part of the channel one heard here it was tacked onto the beginning..,
ОтветитьNot on iTunes unfortunately....
ОтветитьA beautiful album with all the br classic
