I'm contemplating buying a 3 Series as a potential upgrade to an Audi A3 Sport on a 14 plate. Simply because my family is expanding and need a bigger car. I have never owned a BMW only VW and Audi but have mostly heard good things about this particular car.

Could anyone point some advice ? Thanks

biggest problem with modern BMW's is poor engineering. lot of shitty materials and stupid solutions like timing chain between engine and gearbox with poor quality materials making exchange premature and expensive...
