It would be another couple of years, but Bert Convy would be hosting the new incarnation, and Tom would be over on CBS doing "Body Language".

Allen Ludden will always be Mr. Password, no matter what.

I disagree with him about NBC. While it produced some major classics (Cheers, Cosby Sow, Laugh-In, Hill Street Blues, Sanford and Son). I think CBS will always be the true "Tiffany Network".

@bluebear1985 and it would be 5 more years before Tom would ever appear on another version of Password. He would appear on Super Password as a celeb player while hosting his final game show w/ "Wordplay" on a week of shows in 1987.

It'll be another two years when Bert Convy came back with Super Password. I thought that Super Password only ran for two years. I didn't know that it ran for five years. But either way, Allen Ludden will always be Mr. Password; not matter what.

This comes back as Super Password, with your host, Bert Convy. The same Bert Convy that hosted Tattletales on CBS.

Sady, we don't have an Allen Ludden, or a Gene Rayburn, Tom Kennedy, Bill Cullen, Wink Martindale, Bob Eubanks, Jim Lange, Bert Convy, or Dick Clark around today as a game show host. They were all classy geentlmen

I still wonder as to how long the show would have lasted if Allen Ludden was still alive to host it.  One of those things we will never know.
