I'm not generally a fan of the funny/drag cars, but that one specifically is pretty fantastic looking. And it looks to me like it will flip up, look how hollow it is behind the wheels, and there's no interior plastic piece.

Hi Paul, for me and I am sure many car enthusiasts in the US and most of the European countries castings like the 71‘ Mustang Funny Car are a must have ! So it is for me, and in my opinion the Super Treasure Hunt of the Hirohata Merc and the Aston Martin DB4 GT High Speed are beautiful cars.

At the moment I do have the First Edition of this Aston Martin, which looks like a race car of the Bonneville Salt Race Area in Utah, U.S.A. ( you can find videos from the race events on Bonneville Salt Field here on you tube ) And luckily I have the first two editions of the Hirohata Merc.

I'd think Mattel might make it a flip up body if it is a STH. I am thinking hinging the body to the chassis is something they can do to meet their price point as it is not so sophisticated as engineering opening doors, hood, trunk, or whatever. I don't know much about Gordon Murray, although it is another newer British small "boutique" company. But yes, the design isn't particularly attractive. Its always interesting to see if these new cars on the market will become well-known, or just a footnote in automotive history. I think of the Lucid Air, which I first became aware of from Hot Wheels, and even though it is regarded as a superior product to Tesla, its Tesla that is the well-known company. Nothing in the D case that will have me waiting for the stores to open in the morning, but its always good to know the new products! Thank you, as always, Paul!!!!

Gordon Murray is the manufacturer of the McLaren F1. The Gordon Murray Automotive T.50 is a brand new 2023 actual licensed car. It is meant to be the McLaren F1's successor. Not gonna post them, but if you read up on it, this automobile has some impressive stats. I'm not crazy for it in Silver, but I did love that first Metallic Burnt orange version.
