If I have worked as a data analyst for 5 years. Can I apply to data scientist positions if I learn data science from a master degree or online channel like coursera ?

Data analyst = less headache . I know end to end BI but i prefer working on front end ..meanwhile my counterparts DE DS work 16 hrs and crib all the time

I’m currently learning how to program blockchain applications and eventually being a blockchain developer. But for now to pay the bills and learn another set of skills, data analysts is what I’m focusing on. Just applying with no experience .. learn as a I earn. Wish me luck

You can study data analyst by yourself first knowing the basics practicing in your own data breaking your own system anx trying to fix the issue making data analyst and u can use other skills in your life to make easier to understand predictions being aware of patrons and simple algorithms that if u miss a step u cant expect to finish the task correctly like changing a tire, the same at code and data, if u saw a i missing singke thing that is fundamental to run a program or if u saw a pat of patrons to predict the outcome in a company and u can make that outcome more efficiently with less resources, time and constant growth taking in count the past patrons that u have as a data base combining with social engineering to add more marketing goals in the context to ensure that your product is going to the promote to the best candidates or to know that your data and analytics is going to be clear to read in a simple way to ensure your boss can understand the situation of their business and also to make a good predictible future income of data to make sure that u are prepared to the next move in investment and marketing plans
I THINK I U ARE AWARW AND UNDERSTAND THAT AND HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE IN ANY LENGUAGE LIKE PHYTON C++ OR AL LEAST KNOW HOW IT WORKS AND I U DONT JUST PLAY WITH IT SOME MONTHS BEFORE WITH YOUR OWN SYSTEMS ETC AND WITH GOOD SOURCES IN FREE CLASSES ONLINE THAT HAS BEEN PROOF FOR SOME GOVERNMENTS LICENSE THATS MAKING CREDIBILITY TO THE CONTENT THAT THE VIDEO IS TEACHING.
I agree with this girl first because the majority doesn't seem to agree with her and its seems to be men that work as data analyst or they feel better for having study first analyst then scientist and they ego hurst when someone that only study data scientist as first without pre education in data analyst from a cheap bootcamp or whatever, but the thrue is that the final product is about the context of each person, if u finish as a data scientist first and become a good one you also are a data analyst so u become two things in the same time studying with effort just one ...

The main reason, Data Analyst is hard to get into. There's not enough demand to fulfill the people's needs thanks to influencers.

The average time of people being unemployed with experience as a data analyst is 6 months. Even longer for higher fields such as data scientists.

Misinformation. Entry-level jobs for data engineering and data scientists are incredibly rare almost every entry-level posting for a data science job requires AT LEAST 3-5 years in some form of a data role. They SOMETIMES make exceptions for PhDs and Master students, but this usually will just shave off a few years they expect.

for 99% of people, YOU WILL NOT, get a data science job without at least a few years of data experience.

The days of being a fresh grad and getting a Data Science job are mostly over.
