Summertime Fishing for Fluke / Summer Flounder with the GULP!

Cool video, the fluke are hot and heavy. My son and I got 2 keepers in the bay near a bridge the first few casts. He got a Jumbo Sea Robin as well. Quite a fight, his Uglystick got a real workout. Lots of shorts w the occasional 6 inch Sea bass.pecking at the fluke bait, the old squid spearing combo was working. We can’t wait to get back out there. Definitely noticing a lot of keepers around lately. Have a good one.

Hi Jerry, Gulp works great on Fluke, Sea Robins and just about everything else. I always carry a pack of swimming mullets with me. It's convenient to carry in your tackle pack and the don't smell bad. We use Fish Bites down here to enhance the scent of the shrimp or cut bait. The Gulp is a lot easier to keep with you than squid and probable cheaper in the long run. Take care and good luck, Mickey

Fun to watch, Jerry! Does saltwater Gulp work on freshwater species, esp. bass?

I like how you always rock the older gear. Have you ever used mosquito circle hooks for the gulp mullet? I find they tend to not injury the fish as much.
Stopped using ewg style hooks after poking out smaller fluke's eye out or our local spotted bay bass.

Gulp has always been expensive, but these past few years it’s just gotten insane. I switched over to the fishbites grubs and am very happy. There needs to be more competition in the scented artificial lure category so it becomes more reasonable for the consumer.
