is the tip about the boss fight patched ? i spent like 2 hours trying it and not once could i bring his health any lower than 20.

I can’t seem to find enough xp to get from 3 to 4 before I need the power jump.

the door to withers is closed and not unlockable. (it says impossible) so i tried attacking the door wich has 20hp but when i come down to the last 4 every move i make has 0 damage/ effect......

The true best start summed up: Dwarf max to victory, Dwarven supremacy. Play dwarf ranger, get animal companion for bear, because bears are cool. Get mage with thunderwave, get rogue with minor illusion and invisibility. Cast invisibility on mage position mage by an instant death drop, cast minor illusion in front of mage, quicksave, thunderwave the goblin leaders off the map for free xp

I recruited Karlach without Will cos I lost access to her on my 1st run, if you LR before going to him in the grove he just comes to your camp.

I really want to get into this game. But I know nothing and it really feels like a chore learning about it. They did a terrible job at introducing new players

Loot all the skelys in the crypt and when they wake the won't have any weapons or anything lol. And you're right. Withers dislogvoptions all have the exact same outcome. Doesn't change anything in game at any point

I made a Wood Elf Bard called "Elvis Deadly" that will dip into Fighter and Rogue for a couple of levels. Going with the dual Crossbow style. I was going to stay Pure Bard and go with a Longbow build (as I heard the dance you get at level 10 is awesome for stylin' on the opponent) but the whole multiclass thing just seems to interesting to me, not to do it on my first go.

I will try and take out these guys in the intro, to get the best start. Will likely try without the barrels to start with, as you can do a fair bit with the right spells, apparently. Keep the Mindflayer alive to fight everything, while making the Devils attacks far less.

I'm playing a as bard, so i don't think I'm going to be very good at spotting traps. can you control another member of the party that has good perception?

I always see people say don’t turn on traps in crypt but taking one person hugging the sides on the second pillar is a button to turn all the traps off. I never see anyone say that. They always suggest to finagle their way through the traps.

Another is that they never talk about the hatch on the right hand side without fighting the people above the crypt. Lock pick and you are in the room next to Withers. I never see anyone talk about the legit easiest of ways but how to struggle through and hope everything is ok.

I placed the vases on the traps, but when I try to open the sarcophagus, it tells me that I don't have a Trap Disarm Toolkit available. How do I open it in that case?

I found these tips unhelpful or incomplete. You can hangout on the ship and kill more demons to get more exp. Everyone figured out pretty quickly that you need to gather party members. Withers joins your party regardless of whether you find him or not. He's not missable so that tip is useless. This is all clearly outlined in the tutorials and dialogue

For karlach
1. get Wyll and speak to him about Karlach 2. Go to quest marker next to grove you get there by going north from that little goblin outpost forgot the name of it 3. speak to Karlach and she will ask you to help her kill the people hunting her (the paladins of tyr). Note that if you dont kill Karlach something will happen to Wylls appearence dont really know if it affects his storyline but it doesnt really matter since we love karlach

Not getting 17 in your main stat is just dumb considering you can get 20 by level 4 since you can get +3 in one stat by then.

fun fact you can trigger the traps in the tomb by opening the middle coffin and thne press a button on the pillar in turn based mode and disable all traps instantly

I played this game for 2 hours and had absolutely no idea what I was doing. But I still had fun.. I'm about to try again from the start so any help is appreciated, as I've never played this type of game before. I still don't know what to do though 😅

So I started my playthrough but I’m afraid I messed it up completely and went too far into the main quest and I’m now defending the damn grove from goblins at a level 3 and getting absolutely bent over by goblins, should I just research some more and remake my game? Or is my current save fixable?

People can play however they want but imo you’re completely missing the main appeal of these games if you want “the perfect start” just go in generally blind and let the journey unfold. I don’t get the appeal of just having someone tell you where items are and what to do it’s supposed to be YOUR journey not someone else’s.

I won the first fight on tactician mode by defending every single enemy in that ship. :) Including BOSS, 2 devils, all minions, mindflayer... It took me exactly as many turns as they offer...
also I dont think that bomb is worth at any point .. bcs u need mindflayer alive to tank them + they have flame resist 🙋🏻‍♀️. And if they ever target you, you are dead already XD ....
It does damage, however Laezels autoattacks do the same damage by 2 of it XD ...

Also only one i did not kill was "US" :) . Could have killed him too if i would have planned better.

PS: I landed to the ground with almost lvl 3 😂...

one thing: recruit people from the lich, make 2 healers and one fully oriented pickpocketer:
the healers make you cure the party in the camp without using your main character's slots
the pickpocketer is for stealing back the money from the lich
