SRAM i-MOTION 3 Tech support by Robby

The video says that The hub will last forever. But mine is completely broken and needs replacing, The local bikeshop will charge me around $200 for it. If the quality is so high why no garantee on my broken hub?

After one of the coaster brake pads on my I motion 3 speed cracked I was told that the part was a wear part (and thus not covered by the warranty), and that it was not available for sale either. After contacting one of the only bike shops in the US that tries to support your products, I was told this is a common problem with your products. Until you start supporting your products with parts support in the US, I will be buying Shimano.

I've been looking, without success, for an i-Motion 3 Freewheel hub. Is this still a current product offering? If so, when do you expect dealers will have new stock?

Hi Robby. I have an i-motion 3 which has broken. It comes as standard in the (mercedes) Smart e-bike. Can i ask SRAM to send me the new guts? How would i go about contacting you guys?
I dismantled it and found that one pawl had fallen out and that there was a broken spring clip and some more busted parts and loose parts that might be broken but they resemble pawls. It was spinning in 1st working in 2nd and jamming up in 3rd.

Questions: Is there a solution for a fixed-gear bicycle? I have a Masi, usually just freewheel around. I'd rather have a solution that gives me the option to use an internal gear hub without a coaster arm. 2-3 internal gears for urban riding. There are some hills around so I think such a solution work work well.

Another solution I thought about would be to pair up a front derailleur with two chain rings and a shifter and chain tensioner on the back such as the Surly Singleator or similar.

I love the bike, but I'd love an extra chain ring or other option for a hilly situation.

Please be careful everyone who use this hub. It's no much grease inside of this hub specially when new. In result hub is wearing too fast. Yesterday I disassembled this brand new hub in kids bike and I added more synthetic grease to protect from wear.

His genetically superior mustache made that look like really easy work.

how do I find parts for this?

Are any replacements for this hub available at all? I need to fit new guts to mine.

This hub (manufactured by Heng Ying Machinery Co., Ltd. in Taiwan) was recalled for the US market in January 2019 due to safety issues with the coaster brake. SRAM had five reports of accidents after the brake had failed.
