Only the snow routes! I biked everywhere! Fun
Also the temp drops 20-40° at 4a.
Plus most Montukians love our beer and Ice cream during the winter! Bozoland is more conservative n there are laws here so be wise!
We want to keep Montana less populated
ОтветитьSuper helpful. Thank you :)
ОтветитьGreat video! Used to live in Bozeman from 2014-2017. I shouldn't have left and plan on moving back this summer.
ОтветитьMy philosophy on people that want to move here is this... You are welcome to move here, but don't move here and try to change our way of life and how we do things. Native Montanans will take issue with it and definitely let you know... Sadly, many (not all) realtors are the cause of the housing crisis we find ourselves in, here in the Gallatin Valley and neighboring communities. The price of housing has been driven past the point of insanity and the dream of owning a home around here for locals is laughable at best. Many locals have to work several jobs just to afford rent.
ОтветитьYou should point out the cost of heating in the winter.
ОтветитьJust about every other license plate in Bozeman is from California. Since there so many of them here, we need three months of -30 to hopefully get them out of here. They also bring thier failed politics here and want the rest to adopt them. That’s the truth about Bozeman and other similar communities here.
ОтветитьGood channel!
ОтветитьPros: Damn near everything. Beautiful scenery, great people, nice weather (well, at least compared to the Midwest or Northeast), it’s a fairly walkable city, pretty fun bar scene.
Cons: Rent is too high, lack of shopping options, can feel isolating, fire season
I lived in Bozeman from 2017-2022.
If you make 100k plus and love the snow this is your place if not don't even think about it. Wyoming will be a better option more affordable I moved here from Casper Wyoming and I hate it just trying to make some money cause moving is always a waste of money
ОтветитьROFL..... Don't try to change things you don't understand is the best advice I could give. We will either ignore you or tell you to shut up. Most of us are NOT PC.
ОтветитьWhat a parasite.
ОтветитьHi there!
Moving back to Bozeman after being gone for over a decade, there was definitely some culture shock. Great to see your positive points, especially the outdoors and the entertainment/food scene getting much better.
The outdoors and the university are amazing. So many different options here.
I am wondering though about the rental market and the housing market numbers that was posted here. It seems crazy that in a matter of two months that the numbers have changed that drastically. Just for one bedroom average rates that are current, I'm looking at 1700 at the low end, and 2100 being the average. That is a for a one bed room apartment. Two bedroom houses are renting on average for 3000.
Looking at the average income being approx. 57k a year, wouldn't it be prudent to say that the cost of living here is high? The rental market has far outpaced the income of the everyday worker. If you have a great paying job of 85k a year or more, then you would be more of the "middle class" in this area it seems.
Housing sales averages are at 887k for a single family home, 627k for a townhome, 465k for a condo (according to Bozeman Real Estate Group), with the averages of the cost of these homes for sale only going up.
Unless this changes, how is the real estate companies around town going to market anything for the middle class workers that currently are moving to manhattan and belgrade? Bozeman's hospitality sector is hurting badly for workers, never mind the inadequate college student housing needs. Anything that coldwell banker is doing to help out?
I was thinking late spring summer in Montana and Winter in Southeast US...How about that! - then I can fish all year round in decent temperatures...LOL
ОтветитьI moved to Montana 5 months ago and have visited 20% of the state so far. Bozeman is ok and getting worse. More homeless more shipped immigrants from the border and more 5g towers. I'm cool that's why I left cities
ОтветитьAs a native, in general, we really don't want you here. Sorry!
ОтветитьI grew up in Livingston. Bozeman used to be such a fun place to visit. I lived in bozeman twice. However, it has changed so much its not fun anymore.
ОтветитьThe cost is outrageous, and that’s coming from someone who’s lived there all their life. Not a great idea
ОтветитьWhen we moved here 15 years ago, the locals were not very friendly to newcomers, warning do not tell people here you are from California! Even with the University it is still a conservative town, and they don’t want you bringing your politics here.
ОтветитьI have no intention of moving to Bozeman Montana but for some reason I love these kind of videos .!! ( I actually live in
Britain.! ) 👍 🇬🇧 !
Im thinking about moving to Bozeman from Germany. Thanks for the video
ОтветитьThank you young lady. What a beautiful presentation about Bozeman I think it’s the best one I’ve ever seen. I’m gonna be moving to Montana and working south of big sky and I’m interested in moving to Bozeman but I’m not sure who to contact. I’m trying to find housing when I can afford it probably in six or seven months in apartment on my own. I need a vehicle. I haven’t had one for almost 3 years didn’t need because I’m overseas. I love your comment about how people complain about traffic. I grew up in a small redneck town in northern Wisconsin I live in Chicago, New York, Seattle, and small towns, all over the world, such as Ketchikan. I wish I could afford to give a trip fully paid to any one of your residents who complain about traffic in Bozeman. But I grew up. My idea of a traffic jam was having two cars in front of me at a stop sign in the middle of the country. when you go to Chicago or New York, you could move 10 feet in an hour that’s why people take the subway or the trains. Rush-hour in Bozeman really? I guess it’s all relative of what you’re used to. I’ve grown up on farms and I lived in the cities. I love it all. I wish more people would get out experience life. I look forward to Bozeman. It sounds like a beautiful place with great people. God bless.
ОтветитьI have found it almost impossible to find a person to contact to rent as a local employee at a ranch lodge. I can’t afford to buy I’m too old to live with a group of people but I’m old enough to move around and hike. Once I buy a car, I’ll commute. I love small towns and I really love the idea of Montana and this beautiful city. an hour commute is nothing. I sat in traffic for 2 1/2 hours and got nowhere. That’s why you bring home work and you work in your car the first part of your morning. If you could contact me somehow on this site and leave me a way to connect with you. When I get out there I need a lead to find a reasonable place to rent. I’m not wealthy I can’t afford $1 million house. I work six days a week. I can’t wait to get out there to explore the land and meet the people. Let me know how to call you or get a hold of you somehow or whomever whoever can give me advice on reasonable rentals for working class people respectfully. I’d love to be a part of the community and give back to what I know how to do. God bless.
ОтветитьMa’am, I don’t know how to connect with you. I have questions about living and rental. You brought it up on your video I’m not terribly techy and I’m not that old. It’s just I’ve never had a need for it. My beautiful three daughters normally help me with this part. Let me know please.
ОтветитьNo sunshine
ОтветитьI’m moving there within two months! I need a place for my family to buy or rent.
ОтветитьPoser
ОтветитьMy son and I are thinking of visiting Montana we want to go camping want to see the beautiful mountain and natural steams and why is your home prices so high is it becauce people from California have money to spend on tent or buy ??
ОтветитьAnother J ew moving to montana. Fantastic. 98% “white”
ОтветитьAs a local in Montana I would seriously like to ask you how does it feel knowing that more locals lives are being destroyed and ability is being cut completely out because of the massive influx of people into the area that don’t care about traditional values of Montana nor the land itself
ОтветитьDoes any areas in Montana offer tiny home living?
ОтветитьI've heard nothing but bad things about Montana since I've been looking to move there. At this point I totally give up.
ОтветитьAs someone whos lived in Austin, near Philly & NYC, the Bozeman traffic is pretty nice!
ОтветитьMontana is my fav state! Beautiful and ...so on! I realy want to.go.there. its a dream of mine . Hug from Hungary
ОтветитьGood channel. (subscribed) :o)
ОтветитьAlso in the summer , the summer days are way longer too!!!
ОтветитьOk i read some of the comments. Yes bozeman is way to fucking expensive. Montana haye californians. Mantanians call it bizangeles. Im just here to say that if you not looking to be all high class, you just have to live out side of bozeman. Sadly bozeman is not for montanians any more. But yes montana is bad ass
ОтветитьThank you for your informative video, could you please let us know what are the main sectors / industries for someone looking for a job in the area. I work in IT as a software engineer, currently working on a remote basis but I also would like to know if there’s a good market for software engineers / developers.
