I wanted the X2D but my budget said - NO. However, I got an excellent X1D II and saved $5000. I took that and invested in XCD lenses (28P, 55V, and 75P) and been a happy camper for my work ever since - still the same zen experience. Hasselblad did include the 50c sensors now in their HNNR in Phocus software. I am old school and grew up learning how to shoot w/o image stabilization so it was not a big deal. Skin colors is where you see the big plus in Hasselblad color science. Just amazingly clean. I enjoyed hearing you talk about your joy of using this camera system.

Awesome - Hi Res photos are fun - I'm using the sony a7r3 42mp for photos, but even with that megapixel count, cropping in / especially with attached 200 zoom lens, the detail and recrop factor is insanely satisfying.

I want to grab one of the bigger Hasselblads someday - the H6D -50 or -100 megapixel (the big video camera looking predecessors to that x2d design you got there.

The way you took establishing-shot-like photos and cropped in is kind of how I’ve been thinking about 6K/8K open gate for video. If the delivery mediums allow for it there’s just so much data that can be captured at once. So cool to be able to decide the precise framing in post! Amazing times we live in.

As a sound designer, I appreciate you mentioning that you utilize a service like Audiio for temp. I feel too many people see it as the end of the line for sound design on their projects unfortunately.

Bought the gen 1 version and absolutely hated it. One of the worst cameras I've ever used. Too much design, too "luxury", very slow shutter response. I say this coming from 4x5, so I'm hardly an action shooter.

The X2D might be better, but I feel like the DNA of the camera is all wrong. A camera for posers, not photographers.
