Great video! As for ultra-high-end (over priced) speakers... I've heard some of those six figure priced speakers and wouldn't give you a wooden nickle for any of them. Most of the price is for, "snob appeal" and while some of these do sound some better than the typical mass market brands most people watching these videos use, they don't hold a candle to what can be built in DIY.

By, "box speakers" I know he meant, "not in wall" but I'm not a big fan of box speakers. I've been building mostly open baffle since around 1994 and rarely do anything with conventional box designs anymore. Box speakers just sound too unnatural, and even from the next room, you know it's a loudspeaker playing in the next room, box speakers could never fool you into believing it might be live the way open baffle speakers can.

My new place is still dragging but I finally have floor tile and I even have power! The bank called today and said the construction loan expires Sept 17 so my builder better get off his a$$ and get the placed finished. I'm really looking forward to building out the new theater!

Shocked that Klipsch was his choice for speakers in his ultimate home theater room. So many better options. Also surprised that he didn't mention subs as an integral part of his ultimate room.
