I respect that "Lav" can stick with his love and fight for "JT" while maintaining a straight face. If his life was on the line and depended on it with a match between Lucas and JT, would he pick JT?.....Lav will be missed...

Team USA will hammer Europe. They will be rested before Rome they haven’t made the same mistakes as Paris where they just rocked up a week after East Lake. The world rankings don’t lie they could have picked Finau, Glover, Bradley, Young as picks it won’t make much difference I predict an easy win 16-12 to 19-9.

Three players are what I consider "headcases". Spieth, Thomas and Morikawa.

I get that stats are important.. IF so important.. why play?? That’s what’s missing in the “Stats” .. the cohesion.. the “I got your back” teammate …they will play the game … and while I love the picks except one .. this will be a great team against very, very formidable European team.

Lost all respect for Johnson. I'm on European's side now. With all the money Koepka made from liv maybe he paid him off to play. After we lose this year, I hope Johnson isn't picked for the next one as captain. His picks were almost as bad as Stacy Lewis's for the Solheim Cup. Might as well start planning for the next ones because Europe is going to win both.

What are we trying to do here? It’s obvious we’re trying to play with our friends. Take our wives and just roll them all. Have a great time playing together and if we don’t win, Zach will be the worst captain in Ryder Cup history, but he’ll blame it on the analytics. Europe is laughing at the fact that DJ, DeChambeau, Reed and Gooch are all ignored & missing.

Shameful to put winning and the good ole boys network ahead of principle and deserved selection. Koepka and JT do NOT deserve their selections. Even though my two favorite golfers (Jordan and Rickie) will be playing, I won’t be watching this Ryder Cup. Pretty sure that 97% of those reading this will say that’s just stupid, but we should all — especially more deserving NON-LIV players like Lucas Glover — care about these selections. Shame on the good ole boys network of Zach, Freddie, etc.

This will be a tough Ryder Cup for the US team. The European team has several of their top players in very good form, starting with Hovland. With the course setup favoring the profile of the European team, it's going to be a tall hill to climb.

Not saying Glover was a convincing case, but he did make a radical 100% change in his putting method over the last 2 months, which corresponds to his better play. The guy had a classic case of the yips for years and went to the yip-cure putting method. Result: immediate improvement. And his ball-striking profile should be a good match for Marco Simone.

Regarding LIV, they did Donald a favor. Garcia, Poulter and Stenson were all well past their sell-by dates. Keeping them from being picks will make the Euros stronger.

Camaraderie is overrated. The early 1970's Oakland A's got into fistfights in the clubhouse and several players loathed each other. Then they went out and won 3 straight World Series.

US is going down hard this year. You need to stop picking faces and start picking players.

Find it amazing that US commentators think Europe will win. Two yeas ago this team was unbeatable for two decades!!

Lucas and Keegan should absolutely be on this team. I especially feel bad for Lucas. He’s NEVER made the team, he’s in the later stages of his career. What he’s done this year was phenomenal….there’s NO justification. We all know JT is a buddy, great spirit for the Ryder, but? 🫥

These guys are always on buddy trips. Most of them live in Jupiter, they travel and play together constantly.

JT better play his ass off, or he’s gonna be unmercifully dragged forever. He usually thrives in these competitions, but it’s not right, just because you’re not in the “click”, shouldn’t be in consideration.

1) I hope that this year is the last time selections are made based on who is buddies with who. We're trying to win a fucking Ryder's Cup against the best players in the world (Rahm, Hovland, McIlroy) - not fund a boys' trip over to Europe. Just pick the 6 best golfers. Period. JT & Sam Burns clearly didn't deserve a spot based on merit and current form. The idea that JT is somehow miraculously going to fix his game after taking 5 weeks off is asinine. I hope Lav comes back and answers for these takes now that it's all played out because it sounded ridiculous back then and sounds even worse now.

2) These guys need to be paid. If World cup soccer players get paid, these guys should be too. Yes, it's an honor to play and represent your country, but every advertiser and TV station is making money off this tournament. They're not funding this tournament out of the goodness of their hearts so the players shouldn't either.

3) Zach Johnson was a horrific captain. Terrible on the mic, terrible captains selections, and terrible messaging all tournament. Down 4-0 after the first session and "He's proud of his guys". Or when asked what his team needs to do to turn around a 5 point deficit, he says, "We just need to keep doing what we're doing." What?!? No, Zach! Because what you're doing clearly isn't working! If Tiger isn't the captain for Bethpage, we'll riot.

4) These guys need to play a tournament between the last event of the season and the Ryder Cup. Five weeks is an eternity. We looked rusty and flat from the start. The Europeans jumped on our ass in that first session and we never recovered. We lost the first days by 5 points and were even the last two days.

If we do all of this, we can win in Europe again. Europe may have 3 of the top 4 guys in the world, but they have no match for our depth which should favor us in a 12-person format.
