With Low latency for shure the nebula pro the mipi just have quality mode :(

I have the mipi wasn't impressed at all going from sun to shade it will turn to almost black and white the colors are always changing and alot of pink, mabe I got a bad one?

Look at that low light performance

Which colour temperature is closer to what your eyes perceive? Is the ground vegetation green or more of a brown colour?

To me, Nebula Pro seems to offer better default color curve for daylight and bright situations. The MIPI seems offer better color curve with dawn/dusk and shines in low light.

Guessing with image histogram data, one could post-process video (extra time and effort). Processing would give better results with whichever camera was least saturated for given conditions. 
Another possibility could be to use filter, but there is no one right filter that could correct for all conditions. (this would probably drive a person crazy)


It thus amounts to picking the right camera for expected (typical) flying conditions. ;)

Yeah low light is it's strength. Other than that the colours are off, it's only 60fps and it won't be supported in the future AU/CV firmware updates.

Have Caddx quit making the Nebula Pro or is it just in short supply due to the chip shortage?

Good camera for long range cruising maybe, since it doesn't support 120Hz it's not the camera for freestyle, let alone racers.

Runcams tell tale orange cast.....the colours off for sure, low light isn't too good either.

contrast seems richer on runcam, with improved sharpenss of edging in grass etc.
there is more saturation, but detail seems better for the purpose of flying and seeing ghost branches and stuff. where the nebula pro has a more cinematic softer rendition that is more softer or go-pro style nice post-view. we should support runcam for this great effort, I like the image very much and like the rich warm somewhat 'artificially boosted' colour settings for fpv piloting purposes, and for differentiating terrain. exciting product!

Lets see how long caddx vista and air units will Support third party cams. Already heard they are planing on blocking them. Not now but to come sometime

Why does your flight platform have so much jello? Makes it very hard to focus and see details to compare fine image settings.

I was under the impression that Runcam was going to be locked out of the Air Unit / Cadax Air Unit due to new encryption that is going to be used...

Runcam failed at color grading and lens distortion correction (Fisheye),
but the low light performance is great.
Is the fov the same?

I don't like the oversharpened look of the Caddix, the Runcam feels more natural to me (and it even comes with a free trip to Mexico).

so as a newb how do you connect the runcam mipi do you need a seperate piece of kit like that little silver block thing or am i missing something? cheers
