I fly my umx timber at night the nav lights on it are pretty cool.
ОтветитьHow does this compare to the ultimate 3D by horizon?
ОтветитьGood video, the photography is outstanding.
ОтветитьWow looks beautiful when you fly it in sunset.
ОтветитьOMG BRAIN PHILLIPS BROKE INTO MY RC PLANE AT 3AM (and NOT CLICKBAIT) Btw nice plane
ОтветитьJust bought mine a few hours ago. Wanted the stol and night lights
ОтветитьI just caught your ‘here’s how I store my planes’ (which was great and instructive) and during that video you mentioned you wished you had installed the slats. Will you do so in a follow up to see how much it degrades aerobatic performance? I have not done so on mind but think it might go far to reducing a stall tendency which has happened to me twice, once at low altitude and I did not react fast enough to keep its nose out of the ground. Broke the prop but all else was fine. Could only get an APC prop and they don’t work with the spinner.
ОтветитьBrian, do you ever have any problems with the servo centering on this plane? The servos on my night timber x seem to never want to return to center.
ОтветитьYour videos are great but volume is very low on my laptop.
ОтветитьWould you put out a video only on expo and dual rates ? New old RC pilot and regular pilot here and I’m so interested in making the small ones handle like the big ones!
Ответить"Stupid" batteries? I thought you said you were using "Smart" batteries? 😊
Ответитьthank you very much Brian, I think i will not complete build of this plane without your advice :D its amazing plane, i can not wait for my maiden flight :D
ОтветитьFYI: When I built mine, I found that the internal control horn set-screw for the rudder control wire was a bit loose and while the rudder was likely well aligned at the factory, when I was assembling it the setting moved. I'd suggest after you setup the radio but before you install the wing, you recheck that the rudder and elevator are centered with the radio on (zero trim settings) and then torque down that set screw! Otherwise, you likely will have a "bad day"! Doing the wire bundle zip-ties that Brian recommends is also very smart!
ОтветитьI can’t wait to get this plane! Let me try and get in a flat spin… said no pilot ever 🤣 well stunt pilots in biplanes maybe.
ОтветитьIm trying to buy the floats. If I go to this plane on the website and click optional parts it opens a new window. Don't think you'll get credit for it. You have a direct link? Or do they sell them on the website? or will that work regardless. I know its small purchase but I will be getting more stuff.
ОтветитьBrian, I have watched this video and the one on the turbo timber evo several times, along with your other videos on planes I am interested in getting someday. I love these planes and I am torn about which one to get. I really like the size of the night timber x, and how aerobatic it is, but I really like the top load battery box of the evo and that it comes with floats. I have looked online for the answer to several questions, and I have not been able to find any answers. Since you have both I am hoping that you can. 1) Can you put the night timber x wing on the evo? 2) Are the plugs for the evo wing servo extensions, or do they connect directly to the servos? 3) If you could only get one, which one would you get? 4) Any rumors of a new night timber x with top loading battery? 5) Did you ever get an answer to where on the wing you measure from for the CG? If you read this, and have time, I would love to hear your answers. Thanks!
ОтветитьWhat’s the most fun to fly. The X or the new 1.5m Turbo Timber Evo?
ОтветитьMy apologies for my ignorance but I'm new to the hobby. What is a 3-D pilot?
ОтветитьIf you can fly the umx timber. You can fly this.
ОтветитьI'm watching to see how big the box is.... Yep, I'm buying this at Fast Track in Rocklin, Ca. Tomorrow, while I'm working here. It will be leaving with me in my car, back home to northern Utah for my off work days 🤠
ОтветитьAm I going to have a lot of trouble binding this and setting it up with an NX8?
ОтветитьI'm not trying to stir contention or discontent. So I did purchase this Night timber 10 days ago during Eflite's sale from a local shop while in Rocklin, Ca. While here Working for a railroad. However have you seen Hobby King's (oh I know, hobby King?¿) Night Tundra? Dang! It looks so cool. The port and starboard lighting is Kick Ass. I think my night timber still in the box..... May be for sale. 🤔
ОтветитьJust Bought it (Night Timber) and some batteries for the A-10 today from your link:) 4X points today for RC Club members. Love you guys!
ОтветитьHi, I finished assembling the aircraft, and I had 3 small screws left. You know where to connect them?
ОтветитьThanks for the time and effort you put into this video. I have been looking everywhere for what size prop I need to switch to 4s.
ОтветитьJust got mine and I have to say it’s not what I expected but it’s only day one so I’ll give it time before I truly pass judgment. It’s fun for sure but so finicky, I think I prefer the evolution but mine is down waiting on back ordered parts. The motor burned up because a bearing went out on flight 20. Got so hot it melted the plastic where the motor mount ties into the fuselage. Horizon is taking care of me and sending the parts free of charge but still disappointed because they are on back order and the tentative date is another month away. I’m going to play with the metal rod on the timber X versus the carbon fiber one. But enjoy the donation for selling me on another plane from horizon 🤦♂️. Love the channel, keep up the great work.
ОтветитьHello Brian, I own this plane and I like to switch AS3X off, because I don't like it.
Is it possible or do I have to replace the reciver?
What was with this bind method?? Boy you made it so complicated!!!
ОтветитьThe lights are not controlled with a radio channel right? The only way to get them to turn on/off is with the physical connection?
Ответитьany chance you could show me the dual rates and expo----it went so fast and my screen is blurry I couldn't tell what you inputed for all your low mid and high rates
Ответитьever had this happen- in as3x mode plane flies level and almost perfect- slight yawl to (still trying to figure out what switches help trim what part)the right but almost got it trimmed perfect but if I flip it to safe then plane acts like it wants to nose dive- not that extreme but I do have to add up elevator. I tried turning the plane on with the tail section raised level instead of sitting on the ground (tail dragger) but still doing this- any way to trim in safe where it doesn’t effect me out of safe mode …. Nx8 transmitter
Still loving the Night Timber X. Great suggestion!
ОтветитьCrotch Prop, Scary LOL
ОтветитьWill the night timber or timber x wings fit on the timber evo???
ОтветитьTook a hiatus from flying the Apprentice from a shoulder/arm injury during a rainy workday at the club field - slipped and fell directly on right shoulder HARD! That was some 4 months ago. During that time I took the plane apart, stripped off the decals and am painting it to resemble the Cessna Skyhawk that I owned for seven years. At this week's swap meet I bought a BNF Night Timber 1.2 for a great price planning to take it with me on a 1 month plus camping road trip - smaller size to help with storage. Could be easy to fly with SAFE/AS3X. Should be back to flying this April.
ОтветитьThank u
ОтветитьPut the plane down and put batteries in first then connect
ОтветитьI just picked up this plane but would like to know how to setup the flaps and ailerons to work together. and when I use the flaps I want them to split up. I cannot find anything on how to do that with the NX 8.
Ответитьi like to purchace
Ответитьsafe is good for beginner fliers and thats about it...
ОтветитьHOW DO YOU PROPERLY ADJUST UR REAR WHEEL NIGHT TIMBER X? THEY SAY THAT THIS PLANE ✈ PULLS 👈 HARD DUE TØØ THE FACT HOW MANY RPMS ENGINE PULLING? PLEASE HELP
Ответитьrun bind plug to the battery compartment and boom ur good to bind with wing on
ОтветитьBrian, my kids bought this for me for xmas. I put it together waiting for the weather to let up. I did the radio setup and bound it to my NX8. When I plug the batt in, it dances once. I went to setup SAFE and there is no Forward Programming in the menu. The receiver is a 637TA. Any thots. Any help would be appreciated.
ОтветитьTrying to set up my Night Timber X on a DX8 (G1). Manual says to go to "Channel Assign" and on Channel Input Config make AUX2 be switch A. I don't see a Channel Assign or Channel Input Config menu options anywhere in the System Setup menu. The closest thing I see is Switch Select.
ОтветитьToo much
ОтветитьI love u
Pilot Ryan 🦍 just got this one 😂wish me luck
Slow down. Gonna water try. Need help
ОтветитьAmazon and Horizon Hobby have it on sale for $299 so I pulled the trigger on it.
Your videos are incredibly helpful as I’ll be following this one along in my build next week.
Thank you for making awesome content Brian!
