I am curious whether the Granite rock in these counties has a greater concentration of Uranium
which has as in the natural decay process ‘daughter’ of Uranium called Radon.
Radon gas in homes and other dwellings can accumulate in modern construction whereby in effect
it is trapped because an indoor environment that is weather ‘proofed’ to be more energy efficient.
As a Geochemist, I am aware that lung cancers are a result from dwellings when tested for Radon gas over 4 pico curies/liter and above is a danger for people. Radon testing would be warranted to rule out that risk.
Radon gas mitigation is a wise choice when dwellings are ‘sick’.
My question is could Radon gas accumulation over time also be cause for those who are susceptible for some reason.

Need to take a look at the old nuclear Air Force base. The City of Atlanta bought the old site to build a second airport but couldn’t build due to too much contamination. Worth a look. 🤷🏻‍♂️
