rent 300$ . 700$ pocket money after rent. you know how much you can enjoy with this money. really nice gym cost 20$ per month Tango classes twice a week cost 30$, so much to do never a dull moment in Istanbul
ISTANBUL IS not a third world country There is great infrastructure, proper structure like of Europe, Clean and very safe streets amazing food in every corner, very Rich history and culture, and most of the time interacting with Turkish people will put a smile on your face, They are very compassionate street smart, creative and easy to connect with deeper meaning, They genuinely care about you and want to get to know about you.
Please put aside all the stupid presumptions that you mighty have regarding Turkey and Turkish people and open your mind . as A proud Turkish American I am strongly recommending you to visit Istanbul and understand the great place to retire

The restaurant where you said you dont know half of the food there is Çiya. Çiya Kebap and Çiya Sofrasi are very famous on Netflix's docuseries Chef's Table where chef Musa Dağdeviren tell his story and how he discovered food from all over Turkey and bring it to his restaurant.

Yeah, 😂 do you remember when I tried this "chicken breast" first time I was surprised that there is a real chicken meat inside. For example in Arab countries they have a dessert called "Zeinab's fingers" (صوابع زينب), but Thank God, there are no any fingers inside this dessert 😂😂🤣
