On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the hardest, how difficult is it to let go the pieces of furniture you complete? Because I don't think I could ever sell any of them!! They are so beautiful ❣️
ОтветитьNice work, Barry! This little guy turned out to be rather lovely and you did a great job!
ОтветитьI am from Canada but I have many cousind whom live in Madison and surrounding area. Doucette is their last name. I enjoy watching your videos and think back to walkways by the Lake in Madison.
Thanks for reminding me of those great memories and for the great videos.
I love this! Thank you for your hard work!
ОтветитьFrom a pinkish purple disaster to s nice clean good looking chest of drawers.
ОтветитьDelightful
ОтветитьAfter watching this video. I can’t wait to see more of your work! Thank you for sharing! I’m glad I’m subbed now!❤
ОтветитьBeautiful!
ОтветитьBeautiful 😮
ОтветитьLooks great. I love finding things to refinish. Just finished an old buffet found painted and abused sitting by a dumpster. Its now my daughters bar area in her library.
ОтветитьThe gold symbols on the dresser represent the richest French Royal families.
ОтветитьIt's better to make a new piece than restoring old one with no value 😊
Waste of time and money and effort .
Did you find any information about the piece? I have an identical one..
ОтветитьI actually liked the stamped fluers on the piece.
ОтветитьBeautiful work
ОтветитьThank you again for a wonderful video your workmanship is outstanding and listening to you is a pleasure
ОтветитьBeautiful
ОтветитьI was just wondering since I've watched episode 78 and just now seen this one. Do you have any idea who manufactured these dressers? I've found one very similar to the two you have refurbished and refinished it myself. The only difference is the side panels and the one I refurbished does not have the locks on the drawers.
ОтветитьBeautiful
ОтветитьWonderful! I suggest you taking a photo of the previous condition of the piece of furniture, so as customers can realise how many efforts you made and appreciate your work.
I've just subscribed. A big hug from the Alps (Italy) ❤
I just found your channel as I was looking for some demos about refreshing or refinishing old furniture. I’ve inherited several pieces through the years and some of them need some “help”! 😂 I had a couple pieces refinished by experienced people but around here they are crazy expensive. 😬
ОтветитьOmg😮 one word Beautiful godbless ❤💋
ОтветитьToo many words, I'm here for asmr
ОтветитьReally great work Barry, have a nice day. Brian UK !!!.😀😀👍👍🏁.
ОтветитьFrom junk to treasure! ❤
ОтветитьIt's the not the destination but the journey
ОтветитьBarry, I really enjoy seeing the lighter finish. I usually go for medium-dark stains myself. I hope you had a fantastic summer and may all of your endeavor$ be more than enough.
Peace be with you Barry
Most sincerely from

Glad you specified the wood type as I was trying to guess but I was way off with “Ash’! Brilliant and sympathetic restoration! 🤗🇦🇺
ОтветитьThe chest of drawers has turned out so beautifully. I particularly like the fact that you haven't painted it dark and that you haven't added any bulky handles.
ОтветитьYour work always shows the natural beauty of whatever piece you are working on. I just love that!
ОтветитьI love not only watching you in your craft but I appreciate that you are teaching as well! I want to refinish a dresser and I’m not too worried about that as well as a lighted corner piece. But I have an antique buffet that’s at least 100 years old and belonged to my great grandmother and I have no idea where to begin! I don’t want to ruin it but it needs some serious help.
Ответитьlove the wax
ОтветитьIt's so beautiful. Looks so clean and modern. Nice!
ОтветитьAn old rough dresser like that one is exactly why I would choose it. By doing a project that may be a bit beyond my skill level I am forced to improve. You did a fine job it turned out nice. Thank you for sharing.👍
ОтветитьBeatiful work, that bring back to life that poor abused dresser.
If I may make a constructive suggestion, I 'd say that the reveal would gain a lot if there wasn't the workshop background distracting the viewer's eyes from the piece. A plain background would give it better justice by making it the unique focal point.
Thanks for your content.
Oh my, you did a phenomenal job on that old beauty. Love the light wood, my favorite is natural light wood furniture, like oak. You are a truly amazing at what you do. Keep it up 😊
ОтветитьIt is beautiful.
ОтветитьHonestly, finding keys to fit this piece would have lifted it even more.
ОтветитьWOOOOW!! The woodgrain is gorgeous! Thankyou for leaving it natural!
ОтветитьYour work is lovely. It's interesting that most male refinishers seem to restore to unpainted while most women refinishers restore to an updated paint colour!
I like your videos but wish you'd use a more upbeat tone of voice. Your work is beautiful, be happy about it, lol!
Nice! I wouldn’t change a thing.
ОтветитьNICE!
ОтветитьI wonder if this were a popular design in the early 1970's. My dad built a 4 bottom 2 top dresser while he was in the Navy, when he passed a few years ago I got it. Never had to restore it, it' s kept life really well. When I got it, I waxed the drawer runners....thats about it. But this dresser is exactly the same kind of style as what he built.
ОтветитьThank you Barry...great job done..such a fantastic transformation...love the wood colour...greetings from Australia...
ОтветитьI think it's beautiful. I love birch wood.❤❤❤
ОтветитьVery good job that turn so so beautiful
ОтветитьMy family has a chest very similar to that. It was made in the 1830's by my great, great, great grandfather. I'm wondering if this piece isn't older than you think.
ОтветитьWhat I like so much about real wood is that it's durable, and fixable. It also has its own natural beauty.
