ОтветитьMy heart is broken, such a sad story about this family.. Beautiful place even watching the video feeling of great sadness inside the house.. Only God knows the despair and heart of this mother, God give her a good place with her family, she wanted so much by your side.If one day I could visit this place I would like to take flowers to this family and say prayers for everyone...
ОтветитьGod bless you
ОтветитьGreetings from South Africa. Interesting that you call the outside toilet a "compost toilet". First time I have ever heard that name! In South Africa these toilets still exist today, and we call them "long drops"! In rural areas they are referred to as "pit Toilets".Thank you for your programme.
ОтветитьThanks a lot for this sad story. I wonder how you got to know that Margret committed suicide? What kind of documents did you find about this? I'm Swiss, planning to travel to Aberystwyth next summer and I'm very interested in social history. Thanks for answering!
ОтветитьThe Hughes family are listed on Find a Grave under St John the Baptist Churchyard, Ysbyty Cynfyn, Ceredigion, Wales.
Ответитьdo you know where Katherine is laid to rest?
ОтветитьReally heart breaking would never want to go through this
ОтветитьLook at those little faces, so cute.
ОтветитьI don't even know where to begin explaining how sad this story has made me. That poor poor lady, what unimaginable grief she must have felt. No wonder she took her own life in the end. And to have the story set in such a stunningly beautiful place is just so bittersweet. Thank you for doing this video and for respectfully remembering the family. I have just stumbled upon your channel today with this video and I already know I'm going to love it so I have subscribed!
ОтветитьThe heartbreaking 💔 pain for Catherine was too much and maybe I would have done the same. MAY SHE REST IN PEACE 🙏 😢.
ОтветитьWeird the photo only shows the 1st 2 and only 2 newborns.
I remember taking my daughter a teen at the time into the cemeteries here.
She rushed up to me mom mom why where they so young? 19 23.
Child birth.
❤
Nice. A I. Photo
ОтветитьI have Welsh ancestry. This was such a moving story. Thanks for sharing it. ❤️
ОтветитьThe quads were probably very premature, and with no care for premature infants as we have today, their fate was sealed.
ОтветитьHow very sad that even in death the mother couldn’t be laid to rest with her husband and children….all down to the discretion of the vicar…..surely their role is to show mercy. The church/religion has a lot to answer for.
ОтветитьThank you for the story. Very moving. Where was the mother buried?
ОтветитьIncidentally, Cholera is something for which there is a vaccine, Typhus and Typhoid too. Safe, effective and useful.
ОтветитьA tragic story in a breathtaking setting. Even in my lifetime, there have been Christian graveyards where people who have died at their own hand cannot be buried. I don’t believe it was just that cruel vicar. It’s a cruelty that runs deeply within Christianity. Nothing to do with Jesus. I don’t believe Christ said anything in the Bible about it. Somewhere along the way they had to make that act an unforgivable sin to prevent people from doing it to go to Heaven before their time. So much ignorance!
ОтветитьVery sad
ОтветитьThis man could recite the ABCs over and over and I'd listen to him all day long. That accent is amazing
ОтветитьHartbreaking wow she took care of all her dying family and wasn't Evan allowed to be layed to rest with them ,twisted vicar she deserved to be with her family, beautifully told ❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьWhat a heartbreaking story. That poor woman.
ОтветитьThat AI photo is frightening. I wouldn't bother including AI images like that, I feel like it devalues the video.
ОтветитьThis is brilliant👌👏👏
I went a few month's before you and did a video also.
Nothing as good as yours but I wanted people to know the story.
Yours is much better, quite a few saw mine but nothing like yours😁👏👏
LT Jones Diolch yn fawr iawn am y fideo hwn, bydd Cymru bob amser yn cofio colli'r teulu hardd hwn! Bydded iddynt orffwys mewn hedd.
ОтветитьI just found your channel. I enjoy your accent very much. I could listen to your story telling all day. A very beautiful area. We don't hear much about Wales. The story is chilling and so very sad. Suicide is so misunderstood and wrongly judged. I have always thought that we must consider what someone has gone through in their lives. In the North American indigenous community there is a saying like this..." Before you judge someone, walk a mile in their moccasins". Thank you very much for sharing this tragedy. Excellent narrative.
ОтветитьMy great great grandmother had a set of twins around this time. They lived a month. They were followed in death by five of their siblings. Two older children were away from home at the time. She would have two more children one which was my great grandfather.
ОтветитьSo heart breaking.
ОтветитьTo imagine the dreams they must've shared never to be had.😢
What a beautiful home and land it would have been to raise their children.
Question, did you have family come over to Australia in approx 1920
ОтветитьThere aren’t many houses with outhouses on videos. I know they had them. Beautiful countryside.
ОтветитьLiving in a beautiful place can also be terrifying
ОтветитьWonder who built the Hughes cottage?
ОтветитьAnother great video 📹 LT
ОтветитьПусть спят спокойно,очень 😢😢😢жалко эту семью 😢😢😢
ОтветитьI know it was supposed to be a sin to take your own life but honestly this poor women endured hell and wanted be with all her babies. That’s heartless
ОтветитьAn ordinary Welsh family have an incredible event of Quadruplets, and then as was the case for many back then disease struck down the family, despite their isolation. An incredible thing that we are hearing their story so many years later and keeping their memory alive. Makes me proud to be Welsh.
ОтветитьWerth chweil Diolch
ОтветитьI'm Welsh born and bread, enjoyed your video very interesting indeed. Your comentry is nice with our beautiful WELSH accent. Very proud. Keep doing your videos, sadly whoever is typing is NOT good, sorry to say.
ОтветитьBeautiful country. My great grandfather from Llandeilo. Davies.
ОтветитьWhat a sad story. 😞💔 May they rest in peace. 🕊️🤍✨
Great video, LT.
Love your stories of our beautiful land sir 👍
ОтветитьIt is a pity that someone from the extended family can't have her remains moved to rest with the remainder of her family. In today's society, it would have been seen that she was suffering from severe depression - she was ill, and not resposible for her actions. Poor woman just wanted to be with her children and her husband. Something that, to this day, has still been denied to her. My prayers are for her soul, may her God rest her in his care.
ОтветитьSuch a tragic story. Thank you
ОтветитьMy first time seeing your video. Ty
