The Monaco race should be cancelled. It was a joke,i switched it off after half the race. I.m a huge F1 fan for more than 45 years but this is ridiculous. A festival for the rich and famous,seen and be seen. A load of BS. Max is absolutely right,he said " We should throw out bananas so the grid gets slippery and get some action" "You can do four or ten pitstops,nothing will change,i still be fourth". Max knows.The only positive from this "race" he said was that he could sleep in his own bed..😂

The only solution I can see: quali in Monaco, race on Paul Riccard. That or scrap Monaco. But the quali on Monaco is fire.

They should make Monaco a relay. 120lap race, each driver has to do atleast 55laps so no favoritism. Only 10 cars on track at a time (11) from next year. Drivers share the points. Mitigates slowing the pack to give team mates pit window. Enables pitcrews to compete during change over etc

Idea, you know the livery celebration thing they did in the UK this season? Why not use Monaco as that parade of cars at season open? (yeah its still winter) No race. Maybe then also the awards banquet at season end. As a DTSer, I really dont understand the historical significance of racing todays cars on yesterdays tracks that wont allow overtakes throughout.

Also, heres my idea for next years Monoco. Instead of just a normal qualifying. Have the drivers stand 100 meters away from the cars, each with a stick to spin 10 times with and run- NO, swim to find their steering wheel and then bolt to the cars still wearing swim fins?

Monaco is basically a glorified parade with F1 cars, for billionaire CEO's who couldn't tell you the difference between a good and a bad race. F1 should just host an exhibition round at Manaco, where drivers just aimlessly drive around the track for 1 hour for no reason. It would be no different to the current circumstances.

F1 cars without brakes would make it exciting again.

Qualifying yes, but the race is just not exciting at all. They should have Monaco every 4 years. I haven't watched a Monaco race in 5 years.

Sorry, but the tradition and iconic location of Monaco is no longer a valid reason to keep it on the F1 calendar.
This weekend was the absolute worst Monaco Grand Prix I've ever watched. It was a shambles.
The DRS zone is nothing short of comical. The modern F1 cars travel the length of it in about 10sec. It really serves no purpose whatsoever.

My suggestion? Keep Imola and bring back a great circuit like Sepang in Malaysia. That is such a great circuit and far more exciting than Monaco. The two pitstop rule was beyond idiotic!

It’s a crap race, always been a crap race bar the qualifying on Saturday and that’s by design of the track (streets). It’s just an excuse for tax dodgers to meet once a year and have a weekend full of partying, nothing to do with racing.

Monaco is not a race it’s a procession. What’s interesting about that! Mario Kart. Time to say goodbye to it and give thanks. Boring.

Saturday was the race incase anyone missed it with all the ingredients of a race day, Sunday was a parade to burn rubber and fuel!

For me the team of the day was Racing Bulls. Hadjar and Lawson both did really well and certainly showed up the so called senior team

Monaco is for the money and the elite. It's their party and no one is going to crash it. Extend this to politics and you are on to something.

If you have to change the rules to try and manufacture entertainment during a race that circuit needs to go ASAP. Its heritage doesn't matter. It is not viable as a circuit for f1 in 2025 and it hasn't been viable for a LONG time. Change the layout or get rid of it. Other circuits are being kicked for FAR less. What a joke

The new monaco is cutting the corner on lap1, get into the lead, do your drive tru on the lasp few laps, by then you should be 2 laps ahead

Perhaps visit Monaco once every 5 years not every year. 😊

we did not watch a car race, what we did watch was a parade of race cars.

Perhaps Monaco should become an event different from a Grand Prix: like a "Prix Speciale" that is a 3-lap shootout where each driver gets the track alone, and the total 3-lap time is the result. It could have fewer points than a full Grand Prix. In this way, it could still be on the calendar with all the glitz and $$$. Viewership might even be higher ?

Just make overtaking mandatory in Monaco. Or, make it so that enjoyment of the race is mandatory. You must overtake. You must enjoy the race.

I am slowly starting to get a bit of respect for Russell, he has been growing some balls since after his Verstappen episode

I am not expecting Spain to clip the wings of Mclaren, think they will go right up to the very limit again and yes sometimes over it, as long as the test goes through it's all good for them. But a little bit here, a little bit there could perhaps give some results, after all it's not just RBR but Ferrari (Monaco as the exception), Merc no one can get close, only Max but look at the other car will provide a much better picture imho.

Monaco with all its regal splendor and attending elites are forced to seek relief in the common outhouse of a funeral procession of a race. The stench lingers but it appears the powers that be are wearing it as cologne while it does nothing to elevate F1 as having the premier auto race on Memorial Day.
