I know that you know what you're talking about. I may just be unlucky. or stupid, as evidenced by the fact that I bought a 1984 Audi 5000 once. I loved the car, but it nearly bankrupted me. My Audi specialist mechanic told me that if you built one of those from retail parts, you would spend $1million dollars. I believe him.
Honda: I bought a used 1998 Honda Civic for my teenage daughter. It was very unreliable, constantly breaking down. Toyota: My son bought a Toyota Highlander and is constantly working on it. I have bought two cars, this century, that gave me absolutely no problems. A 2003 KIA Sorento EX, and a 2013 KIA Forte EX sedan. The only costs were/are maintenance. I couldn't be happier with KIA.
Some obvious picks - I must agree with many.
Civic compared to RX-8? Odd… Perhaps a Mazda3 might be a little more apple to apple.
I totally followed it....Toyota. It just RUNS. Always.
ОтветитьHow is Hongqi car?
ОтветитьThis man is a crook , and gives bad advice .
Honda has many issues over the last few years, Mazda is much better choice
CW, do you have an opinion on Kia, specifically a mohave/Borrego? I've heard they are quite reliable, but would like to hear it from someone I trust lol
ОтветитьI didn't know you in 2015 when my wife and I replaced her Explorer with a Highlander, but maybe you were channeling your recommendations and I subliminally heard you, lol. Except for the abysmal OEM tires which lasted about 35,000 miles and oil and filter changes and wiper blade replacements (the rear one only lasted 7.5 years), I have spent zero dollars on any repairs. There was a minor issue with the driver side window squeaking during the last couple of inches of travel, but that has gone away. 78,000 miles and the brake pads are at approximately 50% wear.
ОтветитьCar wizard? Lol more like Toyota wizard. Just say u prefer fixing Toyota and stop making other car brand look bad. From my experience every car brand has that model and year that works and those that don't. I know a few Toyota cars with issue and some that are great. Of course Toyota is great, but so is Honda and others. It all comes down to what u want the car for and more. So thank you and stop telling ppl to buy only Toyota because that is deceptive in a way.
ОтветитьIt's cause Toyotas are boring and lifeless to drive. I tend to prefer Mazdas or Hondas. They might not be quite as reliable, but they're way more fun to drive.
ОтветитьI've had a Honda that ran to 400,000 mi no issues. I also had a Toyota Corolla 1992 at ran to about 300,000 but I did have some clutch issues and a couple small other things I think the Honda's a little more reliable
ОтветитьAnd I just got rid of my 14 Silverado for a 2010 Corolla and I couldn’t be happier
No note and I’m drive till gas is gone
I worked at a car dealership 20 years and with mechanics in parts, service, sales. The Car Wizard is the real deal. What he offers is gold. 🐝
ОтветитьAlways love these videos & then the ending sound.
ОтветитьAppreciate you!! Watched several videos, but can’t find so gonna ask… what do you think of a 2012 Nissan Altima with 136,000? Easy to work on? Parts available? Or… skip it?? Thanx :)
ОтветитьWhat about a Mazda3 or Protégé?
ОтветитьYou did Mazda a dis service. Their Sky actives are quite reliable. Who the Hell would buy an RX 8. Their line ups are getting better and better. Like Toyota they refine stuff over time.
ОтветитьWhat about Toyota Matrix
Ответитьi put a lot of miles on a car and for the past 30 years i have been all honda civics, subaru and now toyota. as for trucks i had a 90 nissan truck and it was a POS. i had a 2005 dodge ram and it was a complete POS. my ford trucks have been 12+ year vehicles with very little problems.
Ответитьi love to watch this channel and read your comments... you believe and hang on every word he says. .like its the gospel truth....lol
ОтветитьFor the 2005-2008 Corolla, are you recommending the 1.8 liter?
ОтветитьToyota or Honda… always work
ОтветитьI'm looking to buy a Mazda3 hatchback touring 2013-2017. Hopefully it will last a long time
ОтветитьGrew up watching the AE86 and always wanted one
Just picked up a 86 Corolla AE81
Cheap as, not a rwd or road worthy but manual and not too much rust, but be a good daily once it's done!
Things smaller than a ST202 Celica back when the Corollas were SMALL cars
What year Subaru Forrester should I buy?
ОтветитьI like to add for those reading this comment - The 1995 Nissan Sentra was a very good vehicle
it was the last good engine that Nissan put out 1.8 liter up to the year 1999 . Taxi companies used them and it seemed they went for ever. Cast iron block and aluminum head, as long as you didn't over heat the engine they were pretty good .
Avoid Mazda and Nissan like the plague!
Ответить6 cylinder Hondas still use timing belts on an interference engine. I have a 2015 Nissan Versa Note and it's faultless at 87,000 miles. I have the dealer change the CVT fluid every 30,000 miles.
ОтветитьHow about Mazda 6 2.3L 2007? Thanks
ОтветитьMy 12 accord has 200k miles. It drives a little stiff in the cold weather but drives like new in the summer lol. It's a great car. I paid 6300 cash for it at 170k. No payments and it's holding value. Paint looks amazing for the year,
ОтветитьRecall on HONDA (CIVICS) ENGINES for Cracker BLOCKS 😮😮😮 fu!k HONDA.. I will never buy another Honda 😮
ОтветитьHey Hoovie! Great video! I was wondering if you can maybe do a TO BUY or NOT TO BUY video on Mazdas.
ОтветитьCan't help but remember my hooligan friend and his RX-8. When it worked, it was a rocketship. But when things broke, nightmare time.
There are more people here in the UK that will work on Mazda rotaries, because both the RX-7 and RX-8 attracted a mini cult following, but ouch, the repair costs on a rotary are FRIGHTENING.
As for the Corolla ... here it's listed as "boring but bomb proof". Second hand ones tend to be a bit pricey, because their reliability means that the depreciate slowly. But it's worth the extra to get your hands on, say, a 100,000 mile example that has another 250,000 miles left to go before it becomes uneconomical to keep going. Though some examples over here (despite our lousy weather) go on beyond that. There are some in circulation that have reached the half million mile mark, and still aren't giving up the ghost.
Though the Toyota that really shows its toughness is the Land Cruiser. I've already mentioned that even second hand ones tossed out by uranium mine companies in Australia have a ton of life left, and that's AFTER the abuse you can expect a car to suffer in a uranium mine. Bit expensive on petrol, but might possibly outlast even tardigrades after a nuclear war.
Worst car was Chevy cavaliar.awefull!
ОтветитьSurprised you didn't mention Kia or Hyundai. To me they're both trash.
Ответить2012-2013 Honda Civic. Excellent.
ОтветитьWhat about Acura 2002 3.2 l type s
ОтветитьScotty kilmer 2.0
Ответить2012 - 2016 Camry 984k of them bad torque converters from the factory. Nuf said.
ОтветитьJust Google class action lawsuit Toyota transmissions
Ответить2002 honda accord still running. No problems
ОтветитьWhat do you think about a Mitsubishi RVR 2015, with 70k miles?
ОтветитьSo, I work for Toyota long enough to hit Toyota master tech. I drive a Toyota myself, you know it’s a good vehicle when technicians that work on them day in and day out still buys one.
ОтветитьThe new outback’s are having valvebody and transmission issues
ОтветитьI think this Brother should be my therapist.
Ответитьim asian
ОтветитьThe fact no one listens to you is actually a good thing bc if everyone bought toyotas, toyota would feel they don't have to try anymore and lower the quality, whilst increasing their prices since their competitors are weaker, leaving customers no choice
ОтветитьWhat about KIA? My wife bought one. 2007 Spectra EX.
ОтветитьI took your advice. Wife's Dodge Grand Caravan is about to die. Wife originally wanted a GMC Acadia or Buick Enclave . After watching you and Scotty we ended up with 2015 Toyota Highlander with 80k miles.. Just got it 2 days ago. Looking forward to Toyota reliability. Thanks for the great content.
