I am yoga practitioner from a decade, I do intense yogic breathing mix of Kapala Bathi & Shital, bhastrika. Hyperventilation happens for beginners who are yet to understand their body, when you master the breathing, you don’t get that tingling sensation. Patanjali yoga sutras

Where exactly did you explain anything?
You just told us what his breathing does, but I think everyone knew already that it works similliar to hyperventilating?

All I will say is that this man making this annoying short has never had a 5+ gram shroom experience.

Hey, if you know so much then what happens when I constrict all my muscles an push all of that blood towards my brain? Will i get an aneurysm? 🤪

Smoke some DMT and then we'll talk.

Guy would be on the side of doctors saying that fasting is dangerous and has no merit.

Dr Andrew huberman tels from studies he made and the say that if you do stuff like that hyperventilation as you call it or breath holds deliberate it is not a cours of stress but it is an inhibitor of stress.

Sorry but your explanation just is because you don't like stuff like that in you want to have the feeling to know better are the feeling that you know you know better. It just does not explain why people get the feeling of being in contact with the universe. You just say there is a lack of oxygen and that makes it. That is no explanation.

By the way wemhoff method normally does not go very fast and very hyperventilating it is just 30 to 40 breath deeper breath. Medicine when you say something which they don't like they really don't like and pretend to know about everything. just the turn hyper means too much. This is what they learned in university and that why they say is not a good thing although it is only like a couple of breath. even if you do sixt or 90 this is compare to the amount of breath or number of breath you do everyday a tiny amount.

Plus your term in the end is that "it is not so good" 😅

WROOOOOONGGGG Here's a short explanation for you:

"Wim Hof breathing involves controlled hyperventilation, but it’s balanced with breath holds to stabilize blood CO₂ levels, so risks are minimal in a proper session. Brief hyperventilation can reduce blood flow to the brain, causing lightheadedness, but that’s temporary and not dangerous when done right. The method is designed to increase focus and energy, not harm. No need to overthink it—just follow the technique safely."

That should help set the record straight!

Not quite hyperventilation. With hyperventilation, one is taking quick, shallow breaths. With Wim Hof, you’re taking deep, controlled breaths.

Everything this guy just said is a scientific fact based on how the body reacts based on co2 levels, yet everyone here is getting very emotial based on their anecdotal results. That's totally fine and I do believe it works for a lot of people, but the fact is that people would perform and function better with a method such as buteyko. It's the same exact reason why the sherpas of the Himalayas are as strong as they are, because of the adaptation to higher co2 levels which oxygenates the body more due to the Bohr Effect. This is all based on scientific fact too.

Hahaha you are really not liking this guy. The science proved his method killed the diseases they injected into him. Very deadly disease.

It increases the immune response.

Go study the yogies breathing.

Different breathing creates different effects in the body.

Some like fire breathing are good for one thing while death pose and gentle breathing are good for other things.

There is not just one way to breath that is best.

Hum... i have tried a few breathing techniques and the wim hof one is the only i was able to stick to for longer. Also i started for physical health purposes and ended up with a much better mind control and feeling better from a psychological perspective (e.g. it helped with claustrofobia even though that was never in my mind). So no placebo there as the results were different than the expectation. Not sure about side effects, but would never do it pregnant.

Its slowing down your breathing, heart rate, etc... Its good for the body, it activates the parasympathetic system (calm). Your not speeding up your breathing (hyper), your slowing down your breathing with these exercises. Deep breathing is not hyperventilation. Im a licensed International Wellness Coach and this mans testimony is incorrect. Fight or Flight (Hyperventilation) and activation of the sympathetic system is not what occurs when performing these exercises. Wims exercises increase oxygen levels, they have done studies on his exercises.
