Really nice job!!!! I have a more modern similar set so watching you repair your set will come in very handy for me!!! Its a yearly job to reglue the spindles on the bottom of the chairs right before the holidays!!! And the veneer top has some bubbles that I dont know how to fix. Thanks for the great video!!!!
ОтветитьGreat outcome. Great job restoring the chairs too.
And I'm surprised what great condition the finish was in, for the most part; and the Restor A Finish worked great.
thank you for saving this beautiful table. enjoy every day with handsome son
ОтветитьYou're better at sawing wood.
ОтветитьWes you did a great job.
ОтветитьAnd he did an absolutely beautiful job.
ОтветитьThat furniture is 100 years old. You should used Hide Glue in most joints
ОтветитьWell, done
ОтветитьI had that same set of table & chairs. I bought them in 1993 with my tax return money! We sold the set in 2006.
ОтветитьAwesome restoration!
ОтветитьWhat style is this set? I picked up a set of 6 chairs just like these at a garage sale. They were in better condition than these, but I was just wondering what the style was. They are very well made.
ОтветитьGood job! The kid is so cute. ❤
ОтветитьBeautiful set man, I love wood grain when nourished with oil only, at home there's always good old 3M red oil. Greetings!
ОтветитьHinkle furniture/ Springfield Tennessee...wish I still had mine from years ago...beautiful!
Ответить🤍📯🕒⏳⌛; Adorable Son
ОтветитьThis, to me, is a true restoration. This set looks beautiful. Nice job. Littleton Colorado
ОтветитьThe table and chairs look nice after the restore. Your little guy is sweet. Thanks for sharing 😊
ОтветитьI love seeing someone save things from the landfills.Too much waste going on. Fix up, save, repurpose what you can. Great job on table and chairs. Wish the furniture could tell us its story. Happy its now part of your family's story.
ОтветитьI thought you might use the air compressor to get the wood down into the slice break on the back top of the chair.
ОтветитьI have this set snd those chairs were not made in Taiwan my is oak made by Mennonites in Canada. Beautiful job,lve had mine since l was 32 lm 70 this year, ironically l have my grandmother hutch that matches perfect.
ОтветитьThose wasps sure were busy 😂
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful table and chairs. A little TLC made a huge difference. ❤it.
ОтветитьHi there! I am really impressed of your work. The mending of the chairs seat is the only thing I’m worried about. i’ve never seen a refreshing liquid like that. How long does it last? The chairs were really beautiful and the table majestic. I’m coming back for more!
ОтветитьToo much glue!
ОтветитьBeautiful simply Beautiful
ОтветитьNot to be critical but I think your video is mislabeled..
you are doing a lot of “repair “ and “cleaning “ which doesn’t really constitute “restoration “
When I fix a couple spots on my car and wash and wax it I certainly didn’t “restore “ it .
This word seems to be used a bit too freely…
Nice cleaning job though…
And just because it says “ Furniture Restorer “ on the can of stuff you slopped all over it doesn’t make it a “ Restoration “
awesome restoration 👏👏👏👏👏
ОтветитьWOW- does the ❤ good to see a great restoration-can't stand to see things like that just trashed- thanks for sharing!🤗😄Tis beautiful work!❤
ОтветитьThat was my favorite style of dining table and chairs for years, I had always wanted a claw foot table, we have two tables with " claw feet" but we have Windsor back chairs, they were paired up with.
ОтветитьBeautiful table set - nice job cleaning and repairing it - you didn't go overboard. I remember when those were extremely popular - I couldn't get one at the time. Should do well for your family, and I would try to fix up the other 2 chairs, they are beautiful.
ОтветитьGreat job!!!!
ОтветитьSomeone just gave you $800 bucks 💪🏼
ОтветитьI use Restore Finish on my wood doors, cabinets and tables once a year and it makes everything look so good.
ОтветитьNice.❤
ОтветитьGreat!!
ОтветитьGreat Job. I did a mahogany table and chairs a few years ago and we used a water based stripper. Rinsed them out in the snow and it looked like murder was committed. :) Thanks for the video.
ОтветитьBeautiful ❤❤❤
ОтветитьBeautiful ❤
Ответитьmy neighbor next door throw away a wooden desk I pick it up restored it, it looks beautiful and show it to her she wanted to buy it back , lol
ОтветитьThe craftsmanship on that table is incredible. Just about a lost art. Beautiful
ОтветитьVery enjoyable video.
ОтветитьNossa que linda mesa parabéns pelo seu trabalho, aqui no Brasil é caríssimo os móveis de madeira 🥰🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
ОтветитьYa nah, that's not restoration... At all. Maybe shabby/sheek or something like that, but not restoration.
ОтветитьI have a table similar to that one. Currently I'm cleaning the toes (using toothpicks) If you look underneath mine, you can see it's not a replica. And very old from the workmanship underneath. I'm missing the middle piece. I'm not selling it, so I don't care about the value. My father helped me in the late 70's bring the the table back to life, and we used linseed oil, IIRC) to do the finish. An old lady friend said she had a table in her shed and gave it to me. My father's eyes popped when he saw it.
ОтветитьTrash to zombi
ОтветитьBeautiful job. And I love that era of table.
ОтветитьLinda 💓🇧🇷🇧🇷
ОтветитьSo cool I have chairs just like the ones you got for free. My table only has one pedestal with claw feet with leaf that makes it oval. Round without leaf. Still plenty of room with 4 chairs. 6 when the leaf is used. But your table is just like my friends table. You made yours look brand new!!!
Ответить🙌🙌🙌🙌💫❤️
ОтветитьHi there, you are the luckiest person alive. It is my favorite chairs/table. I wish it could have been me that found it. I have a little table with the gears inside when you open it. It was my grand table of 1910. I have some chairs with the backs open at the top. Let me know if you want to get rid of the other two chairs. I am in Crossville, TN . Jodie B. So lucky!!!!!!!!!
